I never really considered "Show Me the Way" a protest song. I always viewed it as a reflection of the Gulf War and the current times. Of course, I do understand the message of calling for peace, much like "One Hundred Years from Now," but I still wouldn't label it as a protest song. Sure, the re-edited version does sound a bit more protest-like, but I never really viewed the Styx version like this. I just find this interesting.

I find it amazing that Styx is acknowledged at all. Usually they are just dismissed out of hand. At least they were on someone's radar screen.
