Styx--dallas, Tx 7-4-91
Yesterday I posted my first upload, today my second. This is off of my master tape of the show, recorded from the upper deck of the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX on July 4th, 1991. I have never circulated this show. Recording is kinda rough, but it is rare.

You didn't get much of the "Edge" on this - I know that they played SMTW, Homewrecker, Not Dead Yet, All In A Day's Work, etc.

This was at a rock festival, so Styx only got like 90 minutes.

Its not a bad show, but the St. Louis show a few nights before (or later?) is a much better film and a longer setlist (you get Edge, Love, Show Me, All In A Days Work and Homewrecker).

Glen does a good job doing Tommy's songs, he does (off the top of my head) Renegade, Blue Collar Man and Too Much Time On My Hands.

All In A Days Work though is my fav.

I agree - I would have made All In A Days Work the follow up single to SMTW - I think it could have gone top 10. Is that too much of a stretch? Consider the follow up to SMTW, LAFS, got to #25.

Dennis Tried to have All In a Days Work released.. he literally begged A&M for it to be the 4th single, but thats when they said (after 430,000 copies had been sold) "sorry, we're going for younger acts and we aren't pushing your album anymore".

Then Dennis said, fine.. I'll look elsewhere. When word got back to A&M, they pretty much dropped Styx all together. Styx still had a few albums under contract with them, hence a few years later GH and GH2 came out.
