What is the song that is played right before Styx hits the stage? I saw them with Boston in Salamanca, NY and thought the intro music was pretty cool.

That is something Tommy wrote for the beginning of the show. It is unnamed and unreleased.

THe Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" is played through the PA just before they it the stage, but I don't think that is what you are talking about.

I always dig their intro music, but nothing will ever top the Sopranos theme

I'm talking about the unnamed song. It's directly before they hit the stage...it's still playing the second Larry starts the keyboard intro to Blue Collar Man. It would be a great opener for the next Styx album.

It starts with the "My god it's full of stars" line from 2001 and then kind of goes from there. I don't know if it has a name or not, but it is cool. I liked when they used the Castle Walls midsection as a lead in, after which they would play Too MUch Time on My Hands.

I figured out where most of the Into is from tonight in Rockford. It is from the Movie "Contact" The jolting sound is the same sound in the movie from the signal from deep space and then "Do You Want To Ride" is taken directly from the movie. Trust me on this one, I had just seen the movie about a month ago so it was fresh in my mind.

Yeah, that was kinda cool, albiet a little Spinal Tappish.

I thought The Boys are Back in Town was a great intro.
