Anyone know what guitar that is? I can't make out the name on the headstock. Is is a Taylor?

It definitely says Taylor on the headstock and it definitely is - Taylor started making electrics recently. They are beautiful looking instruments, but I haven't had the chance to try one yet. I've seen them in my shop though. If I remember right, the one I saw was priced around $1200 maybe? So, not up in the Gibson/PRS price league yet, but if they establish their reputation I'm sure they soon will be. Fuckin guitars are priced so ridiculously these days. Makes it very hard for us envious guitar collectors/gear whores

It's definitely a Taylor. They introduced three models of electrics. That is the most expensive of the three. That particular guitar was used for a Guitar World review. After the review Tommy took it home. Here's the vid:

us lowly piss-boys never get perks like that!

Good grief. Tommy has looked like this for a long, long time. Don't understand what the fuss is about.

Fuckin guitars are priced so ridiculously these days. Makes it very hard for us envious guitar collectors/gear whores.

If I could buy every guitar I wanted, I would have to move out of my house because they will fill up every available nook and cranny, not to mention every piece of furniture.

I do. Shall I explain?

A Melodic Rock forum member found a shot of Tommy in mid-whatever and the facial expression looks like he's nodding off or something - straight outta "Dazed and Confused" if you will. You know those action shots when the shutter catches it at just the right (or...very wrong) moment and we all have ridiculous looks on our faces? Yeah. So, 'tardboy found one and wanted to make some kind of point - because isn't that what it's all about after all - and the fellowship of the 'tards would all jump in and proclaim: AhA! He *is* taking drugs! Just look at his face! We KNEW it!

As for the age factor, I can only hope my husband looks that hot when he's 70. I've seen pictures of Froy, and even he doesn't look that young. Maybe it's all the emotional stress of the Styx breakup. Who knows.

As for the guitar, I've said before that anyone who can't decide on which guitar to buy, so he buys *16* has to be doing something right. I wonder how many "Kmd" has.

Geez. Thanks for the explanation, Zan. And I'm the brunette, LOL!

Seriously, to me it just looks like he's glancing up from his guitar looking out into the audience. But since I don't take drugs (but I can drink with the best of you!!) I'm a little naive about these things.

As for bad shots - for every one good shot that I have from a concert, I've got three bad ones. I'd never post a bad shot of someone because I wouldn't want that done to me. There may be an argument that pictures of "public figures" are an exception, but I feel they're entitled to the same respect as everyone else. Just my 2 cents.

I'm sure most of the lady's on the board would side with Tommy on his 50 ishness than any other male poster on this board in his 50's, 40's, or maybe even 30's. A bit of jealousy me thinks.

Tommy was looking very good back in July when I took this photo - I think it's just a strange facial expression.

Dennis has probably aged a little better, I mean, he had gray hair in the early '80s, didn't he? He really hasn't changed all that much since the"Desert Moon" time period(if you don't count the "EOTC"-"RTP" years, when his hair magically became dark again). Seriously though, Tommy doesn't look bad either, and still looks hip; just more his age.
