If the answer to the question is because, in this case the question most certainly is "why not" !!!!

Id almost rather hear him singing DDY tunes !

Actually a pretty brave song for one guy to attempt. He did it pretty well considering that it's supposed to be done in 3-part harmony and he did it live.
When The Beatles did it, they overdubbed many times to get the texture that they got on that tune.
I guess Froy would've rather heard "First Time".

he used one of those vocal harmony keyboards.

No I would have rather have heard Gowan keep his yapper shut and to stop trying to cover John Lennon.,

Maybe if Styx would replace Gowan with Kenny Aronoff.

Froy COULD do better!!!

One of the reasons Froy is soooooo anti Gowan is that our friend The Froyster CAN sing.

I know for a fact that he believes that Tommy,J Y & the Gang should have come to him to offer the job of replacing DDY waayyyyy back in 99.

The jealousy/envy, hurt and anger eats at him daily.

It has even cost him greatly on a personal level. But thats for another 'assembly line'.

Most of you are newbies compared to me. I am one of the orginal six. For all of you 'newbies' I found this yousendit video. This video is from back in 2000.

As you can see & HEAR for yourself, the Froymaster CAN sing.

Froy was in rare form back then daily ripping Styx, and still stinging from Gowan being chosen over him (the diehard fan)

Anyway, here is our own 'Froy' performing Barry Mailows 'Mandy' and Helen Reddys 'I am Woman'. If I remember correctly this was sung from outside the Rainbow Snowcone stand next to Little Irvy the sliced up whale at The Minnesota State Fair in 2000.

Remember 'if the whale is not real, we will give you the truck'.

that wasn't that bad. It really can't be performed without all of the vocals though. In my opinion ( which I know everyone dearly
regards) "Because" is the greatest piece of music ever written by anyone in the history of Rock.

It really wasnt that bad.

I thought Froy was much much better on I Am Woman, than he was on Mandy.

But as the bearded one stated:'It wasnt that bad'.

Amen! I LOVE that he performed it - it's one of my all time favorite Beatles tunes, ever. But you're right - it needs all the vocals to make it "fit."

I used to have it on a "mixed tape" preceding "Silence is Broken" and it worked really well.

LMAO!!!!! sorry, had to comment on "asshat" since that's my husband's new favorite saying. he even tried registering it but the domain has been taken. :(

anyway, it reminds me of the scene in city-slickers between bruno kirby & billy crystal where bruno says "no, that was 'I like your ass...can i wear it as a hat?'."

(hey zan, how'd i do with the punctuation?)

ok... back to the senseless bickering
