If this is true, I have a few suggestions. Only do about 10-11 songs to avoid filler songs. Get the WalMart deal, this would be good exposure. Do not produce it yourselves, get someone like Kevin Shirley, Mutt Lange or another big name.

I'll believe it when I see it ... this isn't like Journey where their re-recording of the classics leaked faster than a dripping faucet. Given the fact JY and Susie are going through their trials now, I'm not quite sure this rings true. And looking at those tour dates, sure they could record remote or during the day, but I doubt it.
If they are genuinely writing again, I hope it's not a rushed effort.

If this is true ...
Apparently JY, at least if you take his recent interviews as truth, does not think so.

Er, we don't. Those unnamed, vague "reliable sources" on the other hand

We don't believe people with 4600+ posts. I know, it was too easy.

Maybe they can do cover versions of cover versions. The Lenny Kravitz version of American Woman?
The Elton John version of Lucy in the Sky? The possibilities are endless

They already have a couple of songs in the can with Just Be and Everything All the Time. They will probably end up on the new album.
I thought Cyclorama was a great album. But I also think Glen contributed considerably to that effort. It is a high bar to match.
It's about time. It has been 5 years.

1983 - Kilroy
1990 - Edge
1999 - BNW
2003 - Cyclo
Average wait between these CD's 6.67 years..........which means to maintain this amazing level of productivity they'll need to release a new song collection befor the end of 2009.....
with the average life expectancy of 78 years for an American Male the next release may be the last for some of these guys.

Ugh. If more of Just Be and Everything All The Time, keep it in the can.

As long as they keep Gowan out of it, it should do o.k. It won't so as well as if Dennis were back, but it'll be better WITHOUT the spinning keyboard fairy trying to sound like DDY.
Same thing with Journey - although he sounds pretty good (much better at imitating Steve Perry than Gowan is at DDY) this Arnel Pineda guy is saying he hates it on the road. Well that's what Journey gets for trying to keep the Steve Perry Sound.
Styx & Journey both know they NEED soundalikes in order to have any success....

They Journey thing was a quote taken way out of place by the so called rock journalist Rolling stone Magazine.

Very true - thanks for correctng my mistake. Gowan does NOT sound like DDY - please don't think that's what I meant because it's not...
Also, thanks for clarifying the statement thing on Arnel Pined...

A more accurate description would be the Froydian ship of fools.

So, when Froy says something wrong...is it considered a "Froydian Slip"?

Do you belive everything that Rolling Stone says? They took the negative part of the interview and ran with that like is was the gospel truth. Don't believe them!!! Look into the Journey forum for more details.

Sadly you never say anything that is right fraud, all you are is entertainment for the bored. At least you have found your calling, nice job fraud!
