Hi:

Wanted to let everyone know that I am running a fall special on 'The Grand Delusion' for just seven dollars for an autographed copy. I am calling this "Seven Days for Seven Dollars", and as that implies, the sale will last for a week or while supplies last. It'll start tonight at midnight and end one week from then or when I sell out of what I have on hand. If I get the same response as my last special I may run out by Tuesday, so if you're really interested, buy sooner rather than later!

Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/ ... 507&sr=8-1

Thanks everyone for your continued support! I hope all is well.

Such a damn good read. I would like to see you write similar books about Asia, Journey (we never talked aobut that in here haha) and actually I think the group America would be a good story. Whoa and who can forget the utlimate rock soap opera - Fleetwood Mac.

Thanks! Journey really is going to be my next book, I promise. I have gotten so derailed by selling my house and now moving and settling in that this year is basically gone, but at the turn of the year I will start on that in earnest.

Asia, I don't know if there's a big enough demographic for, but I actually read an online excerpt of Dan Peek's autobiography that has a lot of interesting America stories in it. It seemed pretty good, I bet it would be worth your time. I love America, saw them live a few years ago at the Wildhorse in Nashville and they were killer.

Fleetwood Mac, gosh, there's several books already, I don't know if I have much to add!

I hope all is well.

I've seen America 6 times, own all of their albums, all of their DVDs... PLEASE do a book on America Sterling! Dewey and Gerry seem like such nice guys. I just wonder if there's enough controversy in their past to make a great read. I'm not sure about the whole Peek situation. Other than him, their line-up has been pretty stable

Just what he has written, yes, there is considerable controversy there. But that's normal. EVERY group in the business has it whether we know it or not. I like America a lot but can't see doing a book about them, but if you are interested, what I read on Google Books from Peek's book was quite illuminating. I'm sure you can find it. Here's a link to a preview http://books.google.com/books?id=P_gtyE ... &ct=result

I intend for my next two books to be about Journey and Spinal Tap.

I hope all is well.

I'll probably buy Peek's book. It's a shame they get shortchanged as a CSN "lite." Their output has been very consistent over the years and they have tons of great songs. Fantastic singers, too, obviously...

Who was America? were they big? what songs did they have? Questions a lot of young people may ask. BUT JOURNEY, a whole lot more know them. Write a book about America and a lot of people will think it is about the country. Sorry I want Sterling to stay on track with Journey.

Can't argue with you there. They were successful, but even as Gerry says during concerts, a lot of their hits get an "Oh I forgot they did that song" reaction after the radio DJ says who that last song just was.

And yes, I'm very much looking forward to the Journey book :)
