The race is back on!! Watch out Hussein Obama! You and your Marxist buddies have a fight on your hand now. Maybe you can talk to your Muslim buddies and get some more help.

Apparently you watched a different debate than I did last night.

Palin exceeded expectations. I wouldn't say she won handily but she did well. Biden was ok too but the fact checkers are going to have a field day with him.

I am not one for airing my political views on a message board devoted to a music group. However, I will say that any and all of this stuff (debates, speeches, interview answers) are always, always, always viewed through the prism of one's political beliefs. Not exactly soapbox stuff. And, most assuredly, most people don't need to be told this.

Thank Goodness for that debate ! we learned that, when coached extensively, Sarah Palin can memorize cannned answers taught by graduates of the Karl Rove school of political operatives !!!! I would like a copy of the version of the constitution Palin had outlining the duties of the Vice president........one of the few moments in the dabate that wasnt scripted !!

Maybe with 4 years worth of study akin to the last few weeks, Palin will be a formidible candidate for the top of the ticket in 2012 ! Unless there is a significant October surprise, I doubt she'll have the opportunity to do so from Washington though.

God, what is this "Obama and Muslim buddies" crap? God, this guy was spouting the same stuff in the Journey forum...
Way to be a Maverick there...! I'd hate to just see you following the Rush Limbaugh line of BS... oh, wait...

The debate was no big deal and both sounded pretty stupid in places, good in others.

Palin actually did better than I thought she would, but that's not saying much. She DID, however, continue in her tradition of trying to disguise the fact that she can't or won't answer certain questions by simply giving canned boilerplate about McCain being a maverick, no matter what the actual question was. As a journalist myself, that grates on my nerves something fierce. The question was, here are your perceived Achilles heels; do you think that's right or wrong, and what is your REAL Achilles heel? Biden gave a tame answer but at least answered, but Palin . . . she didn't even attempt to answer the question, and instead gave a long scripted commercial as an answer. The whole time she was talking I was thinking, "Did you even listen to the question?" There were points in there where it seemed like you could have asked, "What's two plus two?" and she would have said, "John McCain is a maverick, always taking shots from his own party, as well as obviously the other party, but always willing to get in there and roll up his sleeves and get the work done no metter who gets the credit." That drives me nuts. It's just a smokescreen, and if she were Vice President it would not serve her well at all. She is simply unprepared for this. And her false folksiness is not suitable for the job either. All that "heck" and "gosh" and "darn right" stuff is reminiscent of Naomi Judd. In order to succeed as VP you have to be a serious person capable of sitting across a negotiating table from world leaders. I keep picturing Sarah Palin across from Vladimir Putin saying, "You're darn tootin', Mr. Putin". LOL. That's not exactly what we need. We've already had a woefully inarticulate president for the past eight years.

Just my opinion! I hope all is well.

Sterling, I can honestly say that of all the things I've ever read that you've written, this is my absolute favorite.

She did the same thing when the topic moved to gay rights - tho thankfully didn't go into a Maverick speech again. She just completely ignored the question at hand and started ranting about the sanctity of marriage again. Not the sharpest crayon in the box.

I am also disappointed that her barbaric wolf track record wasn't brought to question.

P.S. I'm not a journalist, and she annoyed the snot out of me.

Of course, I also think she's the anti-christ, but I can still separate the two! ;-)

very well said on both accounts! LOL

i only caught the last half hour of the debate. but from what i saw, she skirted every question, never once actually giving an answer with substance. at least biden backed up his answers with examples and facts. enough of this "maverick" crap. stop speaking in sound bites already. Yeah, she's fiesty. but we don't need another chenney (although i'm sure she's a better shot)

personally, i can't stand the woman. she hasn't a clue about what the people in this country need. her views on global warming, environmentalism, woman's issues, evolution, and animal rights etc prove this.

Here are the choices:

Choice A: We elect a guy who may hate white people, and wants everyone to earn $44,250 per year.

Choice B: One step away from becoming the most powerful person in the free world sits a iamraisingaknockedup teenagermom go to www.iamraisingaknockupteenagermom.com for more details.

Sorry, I meant, one step away from becoming the most powerful person in the free world sits: Hockey Mom. Does she even know what the duties of the President are???

As for Biden and facts??? he wouldnt know a fact if it shot him in the ass. Biden sounds great. The problem is half the shit he spews is 100% fiction. He has ALWAYS done this.

For me the only real choice is McCain, butt..... he is older than Keith Richards & Mick Jager combined, which easily could bring us back to iamraisingaknockedupteenagermom.

We are better than this!!

Then again, we are replacing the worst president in the history of the US.

Zan,

How is a woman in her 40's that knows her unborn baby has down syndrome and elects to have that baby the antichrist? If you look at Obama's abortion voting record, One can make a much more powerful point that he might be the antichrist. There is not one abortion bill he hasn't voted for. If a baby is born and the doctor hasn't spanked it's butt yet, is it OK to put scissors in it's head? Or as long as the child hasn't breached the vagina yet, all bets are off. Look at the bills he has voted for.

You can dislike Palin all you want, but the antichrist comment is the pot calling the kettle.

When speaking to Zan all of us must move as faaaarrrr to the left as possible.

If Obama were white, we would be calling him David Duke.

Could Zan possibly be Naccy Pelosi's sister????

which brings us back to iamraisinganunwedknockedupteenagedaughtermom being one step away for being the most powerful person in the world.

The keyword there is "elects." If she had her way, no one would even have the choice in the first place.

And why am *I* the anti-christ for calling her the same? I don't get it.

She is barbaric and wants to instill HER values on the entire country. Not every politician wants that. Not even McCain. The only reason he chose her was to get the far rightist to feel better about voting for him because she is so extreme.

We can debate the "abortion" principle all day if you want, but you & I both know that *never* gets anywhere when people have differing opinions on what defines "life" in the first place.

Sterling-
I have to agree. To me the frightening thing is the way Palin has been praised for not answering the questions posed, but answering questions she wanted to answer. What's the point? If I have to hear about "nuculear" and "maverick" and constantly going back to canned answers about energy in response to any question I am going to ....hmmm not sure what I will do yet. But it can't be good. But, really, as an Independent, this is how I have seen the Republicans for the last eight years. Too bad the Democrats are too weak to pounce on this. I will say though having the Maverick and the Milf in power next year scares the heck out of me.

Just curious, do you have any real facts that show Obama hates white people? I haven't seen it. And I do know for fact that he is not Muslim, not that this should matter. We are not at war with Muslims, we are at war with extremists. And, maybe to add some fuel to this, Barak is actually a Hebrew word, that means blessing.

Just got this through my email. Just a little more to add to the Obama debate.

What's in the heart comes out via the tongue!

From Rush Limbaugh's radio show yesterday.....

Hey, folks, you want to tweak the Drive-By Media with me
right now?

You are aware, probably, that Barack Obama lost his
bearings recently and said that he was going to campaign in
all 57 states.

You heard this? And everybody chalked it up to, 'Well, he's
tired.'

You know, this is a Dan Quayle 20 moment. I mean, Dan
Quayle goes out there and misspells 'potato,' and we still
hear jokes about it.

Barack Obama says he's gonna go out and campaign in *57
states*, he was just tired, you know, it's been such a
long campaign, he's been so many places,he probably thinks
there are 57 states.

Well, I have here a printout from a web site called the
International Humanist and Ethical Union. & nbsp;
And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that
website begins.

'Every year from 1999 to 2005 the organization of the
Islamic conference representing the *57 Islamic states
*presented a resolution to the United Nations Commission on
human rights called combating.'
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organisati ... Conference
Obama said he's going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns
out that there are 57 Islamic states. *There are 57 Islamic
states.*

So did Obama just lose his bearings or was this a more
telling slip, ladies and gentlemen?

Thanks

One more RUMOR floating around on the WWW. This is probably just that "A RUMOR", but what if this happened?

On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing
health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur
after the VP debate on 10/2.

There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info.
Generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get it out there
to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is possible. I have
already seen a few short blurbs about this - the 'health problem' cited in
those articles was aneurysm. Probably many of you have heard the same
rumblings.

However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like
this Obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems that the best
strategy is to get out in front of this Obama maneuver, spell it out in
detail, and thereby expose it for the grand manipulation that it is.

Thanks

I get to vote in my first American election and having come to the country three years ago I set out to see what each party stands for and to then make a decision and the decision I have made is Democrat and I will tell you why.

In England from 1979 until 1997 we had the conservative party in power, they systimatically destroyed the economy putting 3 million people on the unemployment list with inflation at 11% and the fiscal deficit at around 200million pounds while all this was happening the conservative government handed out huge tax breaks to oil companies, steel companies and utility companies, for instance the CEO of British Telecoms salary rose to $5million dollars a year up from 1.2m due to the fact the government ploughed generous cash into the company, British Telecom were already making quarterly profits of 4 billion without government help and call prices for users rose 21%.

Now watching the Republican party do the same here to Oil, Drug and Insurance companies while people lose there homes reminds me of those awful years back in the UK. When Tony Blair won the election in 1997 the first thing he done was to take 60% of all the tax breaks handed out to these companies over the previous 18 years and increased the minimum wage by 45%, introduced a 10 pence in the pound starting tax rate for low earners and increased government spending on the health service by 63%. The companies got to keep the other 40% of tax breaks, me personally would have taken the lot back, why splash cash on companies already making billions in profits ?

National Insurance contributions were kept at 8% ( This is what is used to pay for Social Security, Universal Health Care ..... god I miss that no co pays or huge bills when you get home from the hospital, and it also covers for free dental check ups for all and free dental treatment for under 16s and over 65s.

If John McCain is elected president I just prey he stays healthy as handing over the country to that woman will be like handing over a lush green field to 20 hungry goats ...... it will be destroyed in no time.

Shame William Jefferson Clinton could not of run again ...... then we would of never heard of George W Bush.

Also the VP debate was voted on and 58% said Biden won to 36% for Tina Fey so to say Palin rocked did not wash with American voters ....... maybe my interview with Sarah Palin will show what she is like ....

DARREN ... THANK YOU FOR THE INTERVIEW I KNOW YOU ARE VERY BUSY AT THE MOMENT

Maybe so, but look at their voting record. That's what I did when evaluating Obama.

If you're going to bring up the war and the economic situation, do you really want to vote for someone that is going to pull out of Iraq instantly and leave Iraq like we did in Vietnam? Do you think raising taxes is going to make our economic situation better? Those a**holes in Congress couldn't pass the 700 Billion bailout package without adding their pork packages to keep themselves in office. More of our money is NOT the answer.

Since Barack sat at the Jeremiah Wright's church for 10 plus years and listened to Wright speak out against the evils of 'white america' I would say with out a doubt that Barack has some definite 'white' issues.

He was Barack's 'spiritual advisor'. This guy HATES the white establishment, and Barack Obama sat in his church, brought his children to that church and listened to hatred for years.

I am sure he would still be attending Rev. Wrights church had he not been called out on this issue.

If a white person did the same, he wouldnt have a chance in hell of getting the democratic or republican endorsement.

We have become sooooooooo 'politically correct' in regards to minority issues its a COMPLETE and UTTER JOKE.

I think we should follow Zan Pelosi's lead and offer reperations to every minority who has ever been wronged by our country for the last 300 years.

I believe a person has the absolute right to worship anywhere he or she wishes. But a person who has been worshipping for over a decade in a church that slams white people( 'damns white people to burn in hell') in no way should be the President Of The United States.

By the way Zan we republicans need more supporters like you.

NOT!!
