So, do we think that either Sarah Palin and/or Barack Obama are Styx fans?
Sarah Palin would have been 13 and in 8th grade when THE GRAND ILLUSION came out and 17 and a junior in high school when Paradise Theatre came out..
Barack Obama as a Chicagoan and would have been 16 when THE GRAND ILLUSION came out and 20 and in college when Paradise Theatre came out...
What do you think? Could either one like Styx?

Actually since Styx is not considered cool by the know it all's that control mainstream rock media, I guess Sarah would have been a Styx fan. If her age matches up with those time lines, they were all over the radio at time. Anybody remember if they hit Alaska back in the time? I know the PT tour went all over the world. Being from Chicago, I am sure Senator Obama has heard of Styx.
As President of the United States, I promise to lower taxes, bring home the troops and get Styx into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...along with Yes, Rush, Boston, Journey, REO Speedwagon

Toph, you don't think "Foreigners" don't have a say on who they like or dislike running your country? Yes we can't vote, but we sure as hell can voice our opinions. That's what great about the Free World!
As a Canadian we are VERY interested in who is running/about to run your country. Our economies are tied together, you are our biggest trading partner and who do you think Canada sells most of its potable water, oil, natural resources and natural gas too?
When your economy suffers, ours does as well.

many of these people may have a much better clue than you or I do. Some people may be smarter when it comes to financial markets, free trade, foreign relations - you are ignorant as hell. Your statement makes you seem like some inbred close minded fool. I guess since I've been in the military I have the best clue on how to handle Iraq, right?
As I said, you are the one who has no clue.

I was being sarcastic you idiot.... My point is you think anybody living outside this country is clueless. America has its weaknesses just like every other country. To think we're invincible & do everything "right" all the time is pure lunacy.
As far as politics go - Palin got busted trying to abuse her power, Mccain will just continue GW's methods of dragging this country down. Many politicians made Iraq happen in order to put money in KBR's pocket and get kickbacks. No WMD's were ever found and never will be. I don't think Obaba's perfect either, but it's time for something different instead of George Bush III (Mccain) destroying this country.

Why do you Dems pull out the same inaccurate talking points all the time? Bush and McCain were never friends and disagreed on numerous issues - McCain will distance himself as much as possible from GWB.

If you keep saying it enough, it will magically become true. The electorate is stupid enough to buy the lies, spins and soundbytes. We elect the president of the most powerful nation based on media spin, soundbytes, slick tv ads and now internet bs. Sickening really.
