For the last couple of years, NL Distribution has thrilled AOR fans all over the world with re-issues of many rare albums. Among those releases are three albums of Hurricane, „Take What You Want", „Over The Edge" and „Slave To The Thrill". Also „Blood From Stone" by British rock band Dare, featuring former Thin Lizzy keyboard player Darren Wharton. Other highlights are Skagarack with „Skagarack" and „Hungry For A Game" as well as „Fighting For The Earth" by US metal band Warrior and the entire back catalogue of German hard rock band Bonfire. After long negotiations with different majors, NL-Distribution is pleased to announce a long-term co-operation deal, enabling the Munich based company to re-issue rare and much sought-after albums from the huge repertoire of these labels.
The first 'hidden treasures' to be re-released are: Tim Feehan - Tim Feehan; Glen Burtnick - Talking In Code; Refugee - Burning From The Inside Out.

NL Distribution is also pleased to announce the availability of the following re-issues during the next couple of months:
Dare - Out Of The Silence (A&M 1988); China - s.t. (Vertigo/Phonogram 1988); Night Ranger - Big Life & Man In Motion (MCA 1988); Roko - Roko (Polydor 1990); Martin Briley - One Night With A Stranger (1983 Polygram); Think Out Loud - s.t. (A&M 1988).
All re-releases will be digitally mastered. We will send you more information about upcoming releases and release dates shortly.

That's a great album.
Every time I listen to one of his albums I get so mad at the way the music industry is rigged.
Someone as talented as Glen is should be way more famous than he is. It just makes me sick.
I'm just glad I have all his work! Everyone I play Glen's stuff for becomes instant fans!

Comes out November 14 from what I saw, how awesome. I was lucky to get Glens "Retrospectacle" on eBay for a lucky 10 bucks!!!

Any idea where we can order the CD?

I'm very much looking forward to this reissue. Now I can find out why everyone else is so enamoured with Mr. Burtnick. I know almost nothing of his work outside of his involvement with Styx.

and palookaville! and the slaves of new brunswick, retrospectacle, and heroes & zeros. sometimes you can find them on ebay for under 30.

heh. Um, "Talking in Code" isn't exactly Glen's "best" work, but it is definitely a collectible classic that has a few gems (Little red House, Hole in My Pocket, Perfect World). For my money, "Palookaville" still gets the most mileage, as well as "Retrospectacle" & "Heroes & Zeros." Obviously, "Welcome to Hollywood" is worthy of any praise it can get too. (But Palookaville is still my favorite).

"Talking in Code" is such a novelty because it is *impossible* to find. Like I said, it has its moments, but don't let that be the end-all-be-all when it comes to forming your opinion about Glen's music. It was made when - like 1984 or something? LOL - and sounds like a Molly Ringwald/Rob Lowe soundtrack.

My real copy with OBI cost me $200+ a few years back. So yeah, I know. There are quite a few boots out there.

The Limited Edition of H&Z that Glen reissued with the extra tracks is near impossible to find. I stupidly sold mine about 10 years ago and saw it once on eBay since and paid much more for it.

i'd love to find the H&Z reissue- i can't recall seeing it on ebay recently. maybe a few years ago? who remembers. it was expensive. LOL did he reissue an LP as well? for some reason, i remember seeing a few with different covers.

I have the H&Z reissue and didn't realize it's such a coveted item! I'll gladly sell mine if someone wants it. Maybe I'll be able to pay off the mortagage now?

It was sold in the 90s when mail order was the only real option and they were limited. That said, I would value it somewhere in the $50 - $75 range, but no more since H&Z is easy to find on CD; just this edition is not.
