Are any of you all into this group??

I think they are GREAT!!!

Their new CD 'Illusions of Progress' is really good. It's a little slower than there past material, but it is a GREAT CD.

If you are just starting get their greatest hits ('Singles'). Its awesome!!! Its a great intro to this group.

DON'T get the amended version CD. Get the explicit lyrics CD. They are poetic with F word.

Their song 'It's Been Awhile' is incredible and their best song. 'Zoe Jane, Home( Pink Floyd Sounding) & So Far Away are unreal........ The entire CD is GREAT. The first few songs are some MAJOR heavy metal. The last song of the CD they do an acustic version of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb that is unreal. Their vocals are tremendous.

I actually believe that something like their first four albums all went #1.

They are a GREAT GREAT group and thier new CD is fantastic. You may even want to start with it.

Still their singles package is hard to beat.

I LOVE Dream Theatre. Staind is more straight ahead rock, and much more popular with the late 90's & Now rock crowd. They are a HUGE band in terms of popularity. I started listening to them & Dream Theatre at about the same time (2002).

Thanks Yogi. I'll check it out.
I just got Images and words by Dream theater and Plan on getting the rest of the albums soon. They remind me of Styx with the Theatrics, but Queensryche a bit because of their harder edge. By the way, I LOVE Queensryche. Probably my 2nd all time favorite band.
Operation MindCrime is my favorite Non-Styx album of all time. It's a masterpeice IMO.

I REALLY like Queensryche also. MindCrime is awesome, but I actually like Empire better.

Images & Words is a GREAT CD. I own 6 Dream Theatre CD's plus their GreatestHit double CD. Falling Into Infinity is another GREAT Dream Theatre CD its my second favorite of theirs.Awake and Octavarium are also excellent. Octavarium has one of the best songs they ever did 'Sacrificed Sons'. The song isn't as good on their Greatest Hit CD because they cut the songs intro.

Getting back to Staind. They are a tremendous group. Get their Singles'Explicit CD first, then go to their latest, Illusions Of Progress. The song 'It's Been Awhile' is on of the best tunes ever.

Cool I will pick up all those CD's you mentioned.

The title cut on Empire is my all time favorite Queensryche song. It just rocks and the lyrics are great also. And the guitar work is fantastic.
