I just found out last night that Dennis is coming to Jim Thorpe PA for what is being advertised as a "Valentines Day" event. I personally feel that it's strange that out of all the places to have a Valentines Day concert he chooses a random place in PA. I'm not complaining since it means that I at least have possibility of seeing the show, but honestly why PA? Is PA one of his bigger states? Is anybody here going to go to it?

That is a really odd choice. It's not near any large city or anything else for that matter. From what I remember there is nothing in Carbon county but mountains.

Maybe the original gig fell through, and it was either that or an Air Force base.

Perhaps some nice $$$ is involved?

I guess it should have been obvious that there was a lot of money involved.

Besides money, it's not a large venue, which suits Dennis very well so I guess it was the "perfect proposition" and he took it.

Ya it probably had to do more with the place asking him to come, then him just choosing that specific place.

I had never heard of Jim Thorpe before I began checking concert dates for melodic rock bands. It seems every one goes there, even the ones who rarely come to the states, like Toto (or came in their case R.I.P.). So I'd say it's not unusual for Dennis to be playing there. Don't know what it is about that place, there must be a promoter there or something who loves this kinda music.
