what zan said. BB Kings is a very well known NYC venue. It's intimate, prob holds 600-700 people and is quite expensive. but i have some fond memories of past XX's and Shaw/Blades.

wish i was still in NY. this one sounds like a great show. Bet i know who the other guitar player will be! LOL

I'm there. BB King's is not like, say, Applebee's or a typical "bar and grill" joint. Sheesh ... people will believe what they want but this is going to be a FANTASTIC show.

Tommy?
I would agree that the other guitar player is most likely Jimmy UNLESS they have Hank on bass.

Wish it could be at the Beacon.

This is one I would love to see, but too far off to make any plans yet.

yep... prob going to be Jimmy.

No mention of a bass player, which they prob won't need in this type of setting. besides glen can double on bass anyway.

I've seen DDY solo in a lot of variations - orchestra, small rock band, theater, with and without Glen, with and without Jimmy, with every single keyboard player he's employed, etc. - but this show has the potential to rank up there with the Lost Treasures and the first two Glen shows in NJ from a few years back as an "event".
I think it's pretty much a given we'll hear "All In A Day's Work" along with the hits. I wonder if they'll bust out some of the Son of Edge tunes again.
I think Zan's reference to Shaw Blades is actually a good one ... not that DDY wants to take this on a small tour, but these more intimate shows are much more entertaining IMO. The SHaw Blades shows still rank up there for me.

Contact me if you want in on the booth. I'm willing to buy a booth if we can get enough people who want to sit in it.
Email me:
mbagnall@elusivemind.net
I'll start another thread for this once we get going.

just remember that the booths are about halfway back from the stage. you will have better seats if you wait on line. (generally speaking the line begins a few hours prior to show time. but occasionally they have a list you can put your name on, and then hang out in Lucielle's (the bar right across from the "cabaret" room) and drink way too many chocolate martinis.

ask me how i know....

Might be better if we knew the seating chart. Perhaps we should just take our chances in line. I have an email to write.

Are video cameras allowed at this? Just curious if this will be taped for Glen's video page like many of his other shows are.
Thanks
