VH1 Classic and Rock Band ® are proud to bring the CAN’T STOP ROCKIN’ 2009 Tour to America, featuring STYX, REO Speedwagon and 38 Special, three of the hardest working bands in rock n roll.

CAN’T STOP ROCKIN’ kicks off on May13th in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will feature hit-packed sets spanning the course of these three unparalleled rock legacies. The tour is geared to give the ultimate classic rock experience at a fan friendly ticket price. Confirmed tour dates are listed on the official web site tour page, with additional concerts to be announced shortly.

To celebrate their upcoming trek together, STYX and REO Speedwagon teamed up to record a new single, “Can’t Stop Rockin’,” co-written by REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin and STYX’s Tommy Shaw. “Can’t Stop Rockin’” makes its radio debut in March and will be available for download.

"Both bands have always tried to keep our ticket prices low so that none of our fans get left out. It's our own personal Rock 'n’ Roll Stimulus package," says Tommy Shaw. “It’s been nine years since the Arch Allies tour and it just seemed like the right time to team up with our friends in REO and hit the road again.” Kevin Cronin adds, “The world is going through a weird phase, and everybody needs music now more than ever. We all need to join our friends, pool our resources, combine our energies, because there is power in people coming together. That spirit has brought REO and Styx together to write, record and tour together, and celebrate it all with the greatest fans in America.”

Since REO is on the bill, I certainly won't be running for tickets for this one. I'd rather have REO opening all nights, so that I can arrive fashionably late.... Eh, hem. But 38 Special is being billed as their special guest, so there isn't a chance in hell of that happening. Even though they are claiming that they are trying to keep prices down for this tour, I doubt the NY/NJ market will allow the prices to go down low enough to get me to go with REO on the bill (we're too freakin' expensive here!).

God, why?... :x What did I do to deserve another god damned tour with REO???

Wake me up when these guys do anything different or unique...besides the same 60 minute set list, the same songs, and the same mundane touring partners..... Stop taking the fans money...

I won't go even for $13.50. Like you, if REO was the guaranteed opener, I'd show up late and go. I'd sit through .38 Special once. Since I would guess Styx and REO will flip flop on the 2nd and 3rd slot, no dice.

Like Dennis hasn't done the same setlist (and one or two lost treasures shows don't count) over the past 5 or so years. You've even complained about it yourself once or twice on here Froy..

11 Years? Wow.. Gowan's been in the band since 1998? Who woulda thunk it???

Off by a year or so; it's been about 10 :)

DDY addresses some of the set list stuff in my interview (we went into it more in the first interview but I think we boiled it down in the 2nd to its core when I redid it ...). I'll just say that he's aware of the requests to be more diverse ...
