What kind of success would the album have to be for him to land a spot on either show? i'd say a lot like a couple of number one songs. good luck.

When he appears, maybe you could go and flip him the bird again with your mother.

Ouch

Dennis would not want to have to put up with Letterman calling him a "bone head", or worse have Paulie Schafer critique his work.

you keep coming up the most inane questions, maybe you should go take up a hobby instead.

Here, I'll free up some time for you with the next few thread topics. I'll even include the spelling errors that you're so fond of.

Do you think Styx would keep playing if there was an earthquacke?

What's the chances of Styx appearring at my next birthday party?

How many guiatr picks has Tommy used threw his hole career?

Is Dennis Deyoungs white carpet really clean?

I tried to watch Letterman a few nights ago. God he sucks. Not even remotely funny.

Half of the show is thier unfunny tired bits: Jay walking, Stuttering John, the top 10. At least Leno does a decent interview, Letterman tries to upstage his guests. Eh, its all on to late anyway, I would tape it if somebody decent is on.

You do realize that some - if not all - artists pay to appear on the big late night shows as promotional vehicles, right? Do you really think when U2 got a week PLUS a sit down with David Letterman he was doing that just because he likes U2? You generally don't do these shows after the album hits ... unless you are promoting a new single.

When Dennis was on Jimmy Kimmel, I'm not sure if it was a pay-for-play/promo thing, or something else as other artists have done it (like Joe Jackson). If it was pay-for-play, JK's asking price was much lower than a Leno or Letterman, but if memory serves me correctly, he wasn't promoting any new releases at the time, so it may have been a "for the hell of it" kind of thing.

Sad. But so true. Promotion costs someone money depending on who/what is being promoted.
