I thought it would be a cheesy kind of song, but it's really good.

Spinal Tap 2009
Dark and ugly video
Gowan again looks dumb and adds nothing as usual
The lyrics are from a 3rd grader
Total shit period.

I didn't thinK I was going to like it either. But, it is really quite good in my opinion. Kind of reminds me of a Damn Yankees tune.

I have to say, I agree it's not bad. More evidence that Tommy seems to work better in a collaborative situation. I definitely like it better than "Just Be" and "Everything All The Time".

Also missing seemed to be REO's keyboard/piano player.

It's better than I thought it would be, I wasn't hoping for much, it's very happy sounding.. does kind of have a DY feel to it.

why do you have to be so negative all the time. Just enjoy something for once outside of your tiny little mind.
You spent a lot of time in lockers in high school, didn't you?

You are the last person who should criticize someone over lyrics or grammar.

I really don't mind the song. Why is that video so murky, though?

The song is bland! Almost monoton-ish. Even high crimes and misdemeanor was a better tune.

I like it...it's a fun song, maybe not the best either band has written, but certainly a fitting fusion of Styx and REO.

You DON'T want to go there.... I just have time for a few, so consider this a brief sample of some of the brilliance that has come out of Tommy Shaw's pen...

"You know that Bad times are only temporary
Runnin' away is not necessary...
I don't know anyone who likes February..."

"Just Fell Into a Manic Depression
And I'd really like to share it with you..."

"And I can see you standing in the yard
Tending the roses in your garden
The sun is shining through your cotton dress"

^I personally enjoy the lyrics to Yes I Can, and while they're not "brilliant", they're not half bad either.

I see the song is getting quite a bit of hate on here. It's not a bad song my opinion; very up beat, good rhythm, nice melody, decent lyrics and pretty cool guitar solos. I can see that a lot of you would expect better because you've known these bands [and have listened to them] for longer than I have, but if you expected something to live up to the standard set up by the songs you grew up with, then there was bound to be a letdown. As far as I know [and I'll admit to not being an expert], plenty of artists don't write songs of the same caliber as during their "glory years" in their golden years.
But its still decent; look at The Monkees "Just Us" album which was recorded in their reunion back in the 90's. Was it "Daydream Believer" or "Last Train to Clarkesville"? No, but it still delivered, which is what I think these bands did with this song.

You know what, I can't say this song is my taste really, but it's good for what it is. It's better than I expected for a song entitled "Can't Stop Rockin'". Nothing I'm gonna listen to a bunch of times, but it doesn't turn me off either.

I hope all is well.
