Nope. When they made Freddie Mercury they broke the mold. No one will ever be like him.

Agree with both of you. Freddie was completely unique. I guess if Queen wants to continue to tour, though, Adam would be a good choice as vocalist for the band.

We already know a number of bands who refuse to give up the touring, even though their signature voice is gone.

I agree 100% with what you say about Freddy.

I also believe that in Adam we may be witnessing a once in a lifetime talent.

This guy is INCREDIBLE.

Hopefully next week he will sing Queen, Journey, GNR, Styx or something that showcases the vocals that most of us here like so much.

This guy could front ANY solid vocal type band.

Maybe for Froy we'll get some 'Criminal Mind' from him.

P.S. The way that Journey now changes singers I bet their new flavor of the month is looking over his shoulder.

we all know that freddy is irreplaceable, but i think that adam would be a tremendous addition to queen. we've discussed how well he'd fit in with that band. who knows, i heard that paul rogers isn''t oing to tour with them anymore. as brilliant a singer as paul is, i don't think he was the right choice for queen.

next week on AI should be interesting. it's rock week, and slash is the mentor. i'd LOVE to hear adam do sweet child of mine. we shall see....

I think 'Patience' would be a better choice.

They are doing one song plus one duet on Tuesday. "Patience" was done by 4 guys on the Idols 5 tour so maybe that might happen as a duet.

Adam is the first contestant in a while I have looked forward to seeing each week.

Slash is the most over rated piece of shit in the history of Rock. Some kid in a garage band should be mentoring him. Maybe someone on the show can let him on to the fact that it's not 1987 any longer.

Well, Adam sang with Queen last night and sounded -- amazing! Rumor mills are churning out that Queen wants him as new lead singer. Adam says, and I quote "I am pleading the 5th."

Hmmm..... I wouldn't mind this at all, but I am thinking Adam has a lot of options to consider now, despite not winning.

I would pay for George Michael to have his vocal cords cleaned up and give him the gig. He's got 10 number one songs himself and he wrote most of them on his own.
Not to mention he is HUGE in Europe and S. America.

George Michael is AMAZING. But...I gotta say it: Adam buries him vocally. And that's saying something. I'm not even sure he's human.

Honest to God, exactly! It's like he dropped in from another planet. He's so good it's fucking ridiculous. I don't care what the votes said, he's the real winner from this thing. In the real-life marketplace he will BURY that other guy. He's in a different universe.

Just my opinion!

^ What y'all said. And on top of that, he seems a really, really nice guy. Sweet personality. Good instincts. I think he will, indeed, go very far. The music world is his oyster because he can sing just about anything and is a dynamic stage presence.

A man among boys, it's like Adam had to lose just so Idol could be taken seriously as a platform for Amateurs. The guy was definitely identified as a pro after his first performance.

Adam Lambert is unique. He'll go far in whatever he chooses to do.

(Just wanted to drop in and say "Hi" to yogi. )

If Adam could have even half the career George Michael has had, that would be impressive. I know Michael's lost a lot vocally but that's what CDs are for. To preserve the gift he had. We all got to get old sometime (except for Dennis DeYoung and John Farnham whom seem like they'll be singing into their 70's with minimum vocal deterioration).

i would be first in line to see adam with queen! as shocked as i was that he didn't win (i mean COME ON, PEOPLE!!!!) he will be the one everybody remembers. kris is a very talented guy and i think he'll have a good career ahead of him, but like we've all said, adam is in a totally different universe.

and the guys in queen would be idiots NOT to tour with adam! ;) freddie was one of a kind, but adam is such a dynamo he is the one person who could do the songs justice. certainly not paul rogers (great singer, wrong for queen)

the more i think about it, NOT winning was the best thing that could have happened for adam. the controversial ending continues to spark dialogue about him, and he can now take the reins and decide what HE wants to do, not having to please the execs at AI. He should do a reverse carlos santana album where he has different guest musicians on each song. and an occasional tour with queen wouldn't hurt. ;)

That might be a really cool album! He said on Larry King last night, when he could get a word in edgewise, that he would like to do something that involves electronica style music but taken in a new direction. We shall see what he is "allowed" to do if he is signed with 19.

Whatever he does, I don't see him dropping off the radar screen anytime soon. He had too many high-profile fans on that show.
