Dennis' show for May 28 has been cancelled due to illness. No plans at this time for a rescheduled date.

YOu mean Thursday the 28th, not the 6th :) Sucks. Kinda like Shaw Blades and the Paradise, eh?

yes the 28th.

It had only sold about 400 of the 800 seats. Really the wrong venue. Tupelo Hall in Londonderry NH would have been a better venue.

Solo Styx not doing well in the northeast.

I’m not surprised at all. He should stick to the free shows. Nobody wants to pay to see his cornball act.

Styx doesn't fare much better up here in New England on their own bill; I've seen them in not so large places which were far from sold out. I do agree the Tupelo would have been a perfect venue for that show. It would have been packed.

No matter. I'll see it next weekend in NYC.

Oh please, this is getting old. MR used to be a lot of fun, but coming back on here reading this is just heartbreaking!

Suite, haven't you learned? Some stuff never changes. The Styx camp will always have factions for some.

funny how the people who pick on Froy's post go strangely silent when Chicago starts up.

If I had the time and energy to respond every single idiotic post on this board, I wouldn't be able to eat, drink or sleep. Chicago only posts to get a rise out of Froy. Anyone who has even the slightest sense of observational skills should know this by now.

This is true……. Sad but true. I do enjoy seeing Froy get twisted, it brings out the best in him. Froy and I are both from Chicago although we have never meet I do admire his persistence. Most things I post here are off the cuff and not meant to be personal. To tell the truth I am very disappointed in the lack of new material from Styx which translates into a lack of interest in the band for me right now. I have no plans on paying to see them again unless that changes.

The Palace is just not a rock venue, or even a concert venue. That was my point. Tupelo is a known spot for rock acts and has become a must go to venue for artists that play to about 800 people. They have cultivated that audience over the last 3 or 4 years with some acts becoming perenial acts. Tupelo is about 15 miles down the road.

Styx only plays 1 venue in NH. MeadowbrookFarm. They have just about every year in the last 6 or 7 years. It just happens to be a resort area and have a captive concert audience in that part of the state but they are always on a multi-band bill. Styx by themselves in the non resort areas have difficulty filling 1200 seat venues.
