Well...I'm due October 15th. if this one is anything like the last one, she'll come a few days late...and I'm fairly sure, as much as I love Styx, that I won't feel much like standing at the (formerly known as) Mars ampitheater for 4 hours fighting drunks and security at that point.

Hmmm in a fight between a bunch of drunks vs. a very pregnant woman, my money is on the woman (thank god for epiderals)

Right, October and November. Kevin Cronin announced it himself. I was just wondering if anyone had seen the dates yet.

What is so strange about that? If they play in June and July that would be a Summer tour. So why not a fall tour of October and November?

Because around these parts September and October are the "fall" months.. by time November roles around, there's usually snow on the ground and the temperatures are anywhere from -10 to -30 below zero.

And you just proved my point 2 posts later. You get 1 week of Summer in the frozen north.

I wonder who's the more ignorant, the guy who didn't realize you were talking about a place on earth where the tour doesn't even exist, or the guy who chooses to live in a climate like that.

I couldn't live in a place that only had one season or its temperature varied by only a few degrees year round.
You just caught me on an off day.. I knew he was joking, but I haven't been in a laughing mood lately, I took the joke a little too seriously.
I usually brush off the Canada jokes, but today.. no.

I lived in Minneapolis from 1977 to 1983. I was a kid at the time, and coming from El Paso, had never seen snow prior to our moving there in January 1977, which you may recall was one of the hardest winters on record. I could NOT believe any such place existed, LOL. Took me years to get used to it, but as an adult I just don't think I could do it again. I've gotten weak; I think it's cold when it's zero degrees now, LOL.
On the upside, I used to have the coolest snow forts and they would last for months. You had all the time in the world to build new rooms onto them,LOL, they would be the size of a small apartment by the time it ever got warm. . .
Hope all is well.
Sterling

Well it all depends on where you live, where I live on the prairies it can get hot and muggy at times, hot and dry on other days.

I've seen REO with Styx twice and it was twice too many. Their songs are OK and they do a passable job, but Kevin's mouth grates on me. This last concert he was talking about the wonderful revival of the Carter years and the parallels to today's situation. Plus, I really don't need to see the belly(albeit flat and in shape) of a near 60 year old.

You don't have to like them but name 5 bands from that era that still have their original lead singer.

Ha, I will be willing to bet Rush and Aerosmith are not going to open for Styx. I did not know Deep Purple was still together. I loved April Wine.
What about Triumph, I thought they were having a reunion tour and Ric is back with them.
