Bummer for Thunder Bay.

That’s a shame. Especially since the hype for his new CD is so high. Curses, foiled again!

Canadians only play baseball if they don't know how to play hockey.

But when was the last time a canadian team won the stanley cup?

1993 Montreal Canadians
With appearances in the Stanley Cup Finals:
2004 - Calgary Flames
2006 - Edmonton Oilers
2007 - Ottawa Senators
But you have to remember that on each of the Stanley Cup winning teams since then, 60-75% of those teams are Canadian born players..
We excel in hockey but there are Canadians who have excelled in the NBA (Steve Nash), (Which was invented by a Canadian) MLB (Larry Walker, Eric Gange) .
But there are many American born NHL players that are true superstars too: Chris Chelios, Mike Modano, Doug Weight, Billy Guerin, etc..
As for the Admirals, consider them lucky that they aren't the Wild's farm team.. jeez that team can put any die hard hockey fan to sleep!
As for baseball, I think they should have kept that team in Montreal, but there were just so many other factors (Stadium, exchange rate, owners, etc) but it seems that that Nationals aren't doing any better.
Sometimes moving a team across state lines or borders isn't the right thing to do. Look at the Phoenix Coyotes.. they have NEVER had a money making season, and have lost close to 300 MILLION dollars since they moved from Winnipeg in 1996. But when someone wants to move the team, the "commissioner" (and I say that very loosely) steps in and says "we can still make ice hockey a valuable commodity in the middle of the desert".. umm okay..
Its like saying "The LA Clippers" are losing money left right and center.. its fan base is dropping like flies every season.. lets move the team to Mexico City, because there's a rich owner there, the fan base will come, even if they are poorer then dirt..

Sometimes moving a team across state lines or borders isn't the righ exactly i would've fell asleep but there were these damn kids behind me who kept yelling at the top of their lungs at every single thing. However they did want to know who was playing after the game so i tried to explain who styx was but they could of cared less (go figure)
