Anybody catch that classless act. My duaghter loves Taylor Swift, I am glad we were not watching that. No excuse, MTV should have thrown that punk out of the building.

Correct, they did. Him and his "date."

And now this talentless rap hack is going on an "apology" spree. I wish Leno would cancel him for tonight but, of course, the pursuit of ratings will trump that.

Actually "Gaga" comes from Queens "Radio Gaga", so i'm thinking no.

Though from her it'd be expected.

Wow, who was the "lucky" girl. Not Pink or Kelly Clarkson, from what they blogged and tweeted about him that night.

Simply put (and being the die hard rocker, I am still confused as to why I saw so much of this event).
Russel Brand was an idiot
Lady Ga Ga scared the s#%t of out me
Kanye West is a total a#@!o@e (DUH!)
Beyonce proved she is very classy and respectable (as a person at least)
Taylor Swift - "Congrats for the award! Otherwise, I'm sorry!)

So true!
What was truly amazing is that a show exists honoring music videos for a network that no longer shows music videos. Ok, well, in a very, VERY minor way. Sort of as an afterthought.
When I watched a bit of the show, I was like, ok,
when were these shown exactly??

Martha Quinn did a couple of fun interviews with Dennis. Not sure about Martha Stewart.
And oh those were the salad days of MTV, LoDR. When VH1 Classic first came on, it was a great trip down memory lane on many of those vids you mention that originally aired on MUSIC TV. Now it, too, has become somewhat of a pile of junk with an occasional block of videos thrown in around it. Although at least it has stayed
mostly music-centric.
