You can only pick one. Who would your drummer be & why. Your choices are:: Todd Sucherman, Alan Grazter, Steve Smith, John Panozzo, Bryan Hitt.

I suppose you mean Alan Gratzer. He didn't do anything particularly outstanding for REO

Brian Hitt is the current drummer for REO. He hasn't done anything particularly outstanding for REO either.

Steve Smith was the drummer for most of Journey's biggest hits - again, nothing outstanding in the drumming dept.

John Panozzo was never a very good drummer.

Todd Sucharman gets my vote.

I like Todd's work very much. I vehemently disagree with your Steve Smith comments though.

I'd rate him as one of the top drummers of all time...along with Peart. Todd is up there too.

Holy fuckin hell, are you kidding me? Smith is one of the most prolific drummers today and is VERY well respected in the drumming community. I know very little ab drumming compared to guitar/bass/key playing and even I know that's an established fact.

Listen to this intro for about 5 seconds and hear how good Smith was, even in Journey.

Didn't work out too well for him with one of his previous bands. He might be a little leery to join another band before they hit it big.

Out of the choices offered, I'd go with Panozzo. Graceful and understated, he was a class act.
To throw in my own two cents from off-list? Carl Palmer.

Have to say that when I heard that Phil Collins had to retire from drumming because of his back, I shed a tear or too.. He was a great drummer..
