Tommy was busy at NAMM ... that's for sure!

The bluegrass album, believe it or not, is something I think will be fantastic and could be better than Shaw Blades - very true to his roots.

I agree! This is an album I'm actually excited about. Recording it in Nashville is perfect, this town is filled to bursting with the best bluegrass players in the world. I'm sure Tommy will wind up with some very cool special guests. (He already had Alison Krauss on a solo record but not in her genre . . . could it be she or others members of Union Station will appear?) There are a lot of cool ways to promote a record like this, too, like CMT's 'Crossroads', so it could actually get some marketplace attention.

This might seem nuts, but I have actually thought before that "Too Much Time On My Hands" would come across well in a bluegrass arrangement. Think about it, the chorus is kind of a grassy melody anyway, just change the rhythm behind it, put a fiddle player in there doing Tommy's guitar solo note-for-note, that would be way cool.

Really looking forward to this one!
