If you were able to see them back in the day in your opinion what was your favorite tour? I'm pretty sure most would say paradise theater but if you have a different favorite feel free to share it.

Among the many tours/concerts I saw back in the day, sadly, Styx was not among them.

All I have is some audio and video record of a few of them and it does seem like the Kilroy tour was fantastic. The reprise at the end is popular among us DDY fans.

Bugsy

My favorite tour was the Journey/Styx/REO tour a few years back! I had front-row CENTER seats, and I was amazed! I went there for Journey, but honestly, they were the weakest band of the night! Even REO made them look like shit. It was an awesome night even if I couldn't hear SHIT for the next three days. :D

2003? I saw them on that tour and thought all REO was the best of the 3. But I did enjoy all 3.

I saw the Equinox tour with Tommy.

You can imagine back in the day what happened when they played the song Light Up.

The first time is always the best.

The Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight tours. Styx in their ROCKING prime.

I was in the front row for Po8. I was 16. It was great. Must've sweated off ten pounds.

The GI tour was the first time I saw them and they were in a smaller arena in Seattle.
Very cool guitar duel between Tommy and JY and I remember being blown away by
the entire band. I seem to remember Dennis wearing a Muskateer hat and holding a sword
at one point saying "I wonder what the King is doing tonight?"- That had to be before Born for Adventure, but maybe I'm confusing that with something else (it's been a long time!)
That show was when I became a diehard. I only knew Lady, but a friend
had a free ticket and he was really into Equinox and Crystal Ball (neither of which I'd ever heard), so I went.
The next day, I went and found a bunch of their used albums. I was hooked.

I always thought the Cornerstone tour was a bit laid back, though it was good.
Paradise Theatre was also very cool. I saw both Seattle shows of it, also near the front.

The reunion tour and the Grand Illusion 20th anniversary shows were great too, though I preferred the GI 20th as I actually got to meet the band and had my GI album signed. That was cool though it was just "uhh uhhhh"

The BNW show I saw was okay, but the first time I saw Gowan, he annoyed the crap out of me.
They were also playing at some crappy fairgrounds. I've since learned the error of my ways and can't believe what a great player the guy is. You gotta respect that. Also, Styx with Glenn was a monster band.

I did see the EOTC tour as well, I've got some black and white photos of it somewhere. That was a good show, but I remember being way annoyed that Dennis was using a digital piano instead of a grand. That was when digital pianos weren't great. But that was also in a small arena.

The one I missed was the Kilroy show. They cancelled that because Tommy broke his hand or something. I have the poster for the show, even though it was cancelled. Pretty cool piece of memorabilia.

There was another show with Glenn that was before Cyclo came out, and my band was playing down the hall from Styx and we got to go in and check them out before our show. It absolutely was rocking. I wish I could've seen the entire show.

I've kind of made up my mind that I won't go see them again until they release an album of new material. I doubt I'll ever see them live again.
