I have it from a very reliable source that a tour is in the works to bring back Dennis Deyoung for the Crystal Ball 3D tour.
The band will play the entire album all the way through as the feature and then after an intermission break into a greatest hits set.

Now that would be quite nice.
Crystal ball is probably the only album I care to listen through in it's entirety these days.Pretty tired of the rest with exception of the Wooden Nickle stuff.
Doubt this show would make it to Toronto.Montreal maybe.

The thing is though.I heard Dennis is going to make a musical on Snow White and 7 dwarfs around that time.What gives.

I'm still trying to figure out how the 3D aspect of this tour is going to work. Will they be handing out glasses before the show? I can already picture what is going to happen watching Froy trying to hit JY as he appears floating in front of our faces.

As much as I want to believe this, I can't until I get more, concrete proof. (Sorry froy.) Plus, why would they already be planning 2011? Won't they have enough to do with the likely Styx/Foreigner/Kansas tour THIS summer?

I'll happily give credit where credit is due if this comes to fruition, but I am hesitant to believe it.

If they were going to do this, it sure wouldn't be around the weakest of the A&M albums....

They will hand out special glasses. Everyone that wears them will swear that when they look at Larry, they will see Dennis DeYoung on stage and quit their bitching.

Styx as a brand is incapable of a #1 hit. Neither Dennis or Larry could make Styx a #1 band again. Bluntly, their time has passed, and they're touring to old fans, for the most part. Neither individual could bring in new fans. DeYoung, Gowan, all the same as far as Styx's success goes in the present. REO Speedwagon still has Kevin Cronin and they're about the same as Styx as far as touring/charting/album sales go. The brand supersedes the individual members, and Styx/REO are old brands. A DeYoung reunion tour would maybe sell 500 more tickets per show AT MOST. After the initial tour, they'd be on the same level as the Gowan-fronted Styx is now.
