Styx Geekiness

How about some examples of being a Styx fan and maybe taking it too far?
I'll start.
In 7th grade, around 1982, I had 13 different Styx shirts, wore one every day at school. Looking back, the average person probably thought I just wore the same one over and over. Actually, that reminds me of finding a Man of Miracles shirt once in some T-shirt shop in New Jersey, I was flipping out.

I also had multiple copies of the Paradise Theater album so I could hang one on the wall, opened to the middle and another split in half to show front and back covers.

For years, I thought those shitty re-issue covers from the first four albums were original.

Anyone who starts the usual shit (pro/anti current Styx) in this thread will have to go to bed without supper.

The last Styx concert I went to was general admission...So, if you were early, you got good seats. I was early. So were a group of Stygian nymphs. That's all fine...entertaining people to 'observe', LOL. So, security lets us in and one of the nymphs HAD to be first so she darts to the seats and tries to reserve the entire front-row center section for the rest of her nymph friends. Again, I expect that...just the way some people are. So, no big deal...I was going to get good seats regardless.

The "taking too far" bit is when I got to the seating, this lady was PISSED. The first two rows were roped off as reserved for a radio contest, or something. So, she had to settle for HORRIBLE third row seats. "I didn't spend two hours on the road to get 3rd row seats!" She talked to security several times to try to get moved up. Finally she talked to some lady who must have been in charge somehow. The nymph reached out to touch her arm, I spose to beg to be moved closer, and she threw up her arms and said VERY LOUDLY, "DON'T TOUCH ME!" Obviously, she didn't get her front-row seats, and was close to getting escorted out...and she was PO"d about this for the entire concert.

I'm sorry, but if 3rd row is not good enough and causes you to go all psycho and not enjoy yourself, you are taking it a bit too far.

And, BTW, being a Stygian nymph isn't a bad thing...some are quite fun and mostly normal :)

The Renegade ring tone was pretty geeky. Buying the single of Roboto was pretty bad because I couldn't wait until the album came out. Getting to the fairgrounds 6 hours early for being at the stage was bad too.

Ahh yes.The Styx geekdom years.
One year was really bad.I wrote Styx on everything. On the school desks and there were several, since we moved around a lot depending which subject we had.
The bathroom doors ,paper towel dispencers,door frames,goalposts,soccer balls ,shuttlecocks,lunchbox,backpack,jeans,somebody else's jeans,books,blackboards
and on and on.
In the year book it said something along the lines.
Styx here,Styx there,Styx friggen everywhere.

So do I, lol. One's I made myself. But I have put them both out of action, since, as they would ring from the depths of my purse, I kept wondering where the hell that music was coming from. Especially when I would hear them in conjunction with something else I might already be listening to.

My experience was similar except I wrote "Kilroy Was Here" on textbooks, desks, lockers, and one time I did a HUGE one across the bathroom wall. On a few random occasions I wrote it on a piece of paper, folded it up, and threw it in a locker. I didn't do as much as you, however if everyone knew that it was me doing it, then my already poor reputation was probably worsened.
