I have to agree about DDY he was great and i am a true fan.But i also and everyone knows that i am crazy about Gowan.He brings alot to the band as did DDY. Please lets not have anymore fights over this.Life is just to short.

Not true at all. I prefer Gowan's voice over DeYoung's. Not to say I don't like DeYoung's voice, but I think Gowan is a much better performer. That's all he's saying. He even conceded that "Dennis has pipes" but you need to realize that people DO like Gowan or Styx wouldn't be going on their 11th year with him.

I was at this concert, and Styx put on an absolutely fantastic performance. It was VERY chilly though, as noted by the heaters you see all over the stage. Glass Tiger was very weak in comparison (though still good in their own right). Styx has a great stage presence and they're all very talented.

Gowan is not a performer he's a copycat get that straight. I will say this: The first time I saw Gowan sing CSA blew away the first/only time I saw Dennis sing it solo. Of course the crowd being 10x the size probably helped Styx a lot too.

I thought that was, at best, average. No emotion, no power and no sincerity in his vocals. At times, it sounds more like he's reading a book than singing a song.
