6th Member During Early 80s?

I know Wikipedia is known for having false information on it, so I knew this was the place to come to for clarification.

According to the Wikipedia page for "Styx Band Members", says a man named Kevin Brown performed keyboards and vocals from around 81-85 or so. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Styx_band_members) If this is true, what did he do? Just help boost the sound on the tour? I have read a lot about Styx (including Sterling's book) and have read this board A LOT, and I have never heard about a Kevin Brown before.

Did he really perform with Styx or is this Wikipedia lying again?

I'm not sure if that's the name or not but Styx had a keyboard player live for years. Dennis couldn't pull it off live. When he can take his time in the studio and have faster parts speed up on the tape he's fine. Jy did a lot of the synth stuff such as fooling yourself ect. Dennis was more of a piano/singer than a keyboarder

I know during the RTP tour Lou D'Pasqua from JYG backed up Dennis on keys.

The sixth member was the elusive 'chimney sweeper' that graced the Villiage People during their Macho Man touring days.

Chuck met up with him and had him on stage during a couple of New Orleans shows. When it all fizzled out, it was back to Dennis, Tommy, JY, John & Chuck.

Then the Chimney Sweeper tried to get back with the Village People and that was a no go too.

His 15 minutes with two hit groups was all he got. Maybe a little longer with Chuck.

Now, he is the but t of alot of jokes.

You can read about it by going to : www.chimneysweeperbootedoutoftwogroups@yahoo.com.

On the RTP tour - and I'm sure others - DDY's keyboard tech played the "string" parts while DDY was playing piano/other keys during "Babe" and "Best of Times". That's about it folks. I was backstage pre-show and there was no full keyboard rig for a ghost player. Sorry to burst your bubbles.

I mean, it was apparent during "The Best of Times" especially when no one else was playing keys, no MIDIed up floor pedals, and everyone else is doing something.
