Was this the actual single version of Come Sail Away?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vo_4QopvYFs

I know that when the song went to pop radio that at almost 6 minutes, it was too long to be a single and they shortened it. According to this, it appears that they took out the entire "Odyssey" section. I am assuming that this was the way it appeared on pop radio in 1978?

I also have seen where the time on the Blue Collar Man single is like 3:35 when the song on the album is well over 4 minutes. What did they cut out on that?

BTW, it is still weird to see Dennis with a beard....

This promo clip was very likely the single version of this song. There were two others done at the same time, I am sure to promote the GI album.

I know Tommy Shaw was considered the "heartthrob" of Styx, but there are plenty of ladies I know well (heh) who think otherwise, and this clip sort of reinforces our liking of the 70's look of DDY. And that is all I will say on that.

Oh my. Check out their wardrobe. JY?? Oh the seventies. Loved the music...the clothes? Not so much.

Dennis' eyes look like he took more than one hit of a fatty and was half way high.

Well documented that Dennis didn't do pot or anything recreational after, what, 75 or 76? Check Sterling's book.

Hell I have no idea if he was or wasn't...don't really care. Just making some random observations and his eyes just looked that way to me.

So where do you stand on how JY looks now vs. then, or Tommy's dental work? I mean, they all got older and changed as we all do. Dennis I would say aged pretty naturally, same with Tommy. They've all kept in relatively good shape.

He's right!
Actually, I think it was after the Cornerstone tour that all the sudden Dennis started looking more and more like Uncle Perv. By the time of Kilroy, the transformation was complete. Dennis is one of the few people that looks better with a mustache and beard.
