I saw the Edge tour and I don't remember that one. I remember Ritual, Homewrecker, Not Dead Yet, Edge of the Century, and Show Me the Way.

Styx never performed it live, but I did hear that Gowan used it as his second encore at one of his recent sold out solo shows. Here is the link: www.gowanliveloveatfirstsightyoutube.com

Love At First Site was played the first two shows only then dropped from the set list.

That would explain why I thought I remembered seeing it. Sorta like Glen's Beatles cover. lol

Yes, Zan I think he was also doing "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" by himself. I don;t know I didn't see the first couple of shows. I am assuming you at least saw the first one since it was in Ft. Lauderdale. I saw the Edge tour in Chicago and Milwaukee at the StyxCon thing where a bunch of us got together for a few days.

Why do you think they did that when at the time, it was the single that they were plugging at radio?

That's the way to do it guys; don't play the single.. lol. Now we might know at least part of the reason why it only reached the bottom half of the top 40. They played it once or twice before it was released, but never after?? :? Maybe they didn't want it to be released?

Sometimes, I know certain acts will stop promoting a song, even rather early in the game, if they feel it's not really taking off, but it sounds like they didn't even really try at all. Maybe they felt like A&M wasn't promoting, but #25 would seem like good motivation to keep running with it(or rather, start).

Don't know why they stopped playing it. Maybe the flow of the show? The Edge tour was a rockin' tour. Even Babe was a shortened version down to like 2 minutes. The running joke at the time was "Love At First Site is in the Top 40. How? No radio stations are playing it and the guys themselves are not playing it!"

Yeah, he was doing what Tommy used to do by playing a short acoustic set while the rest of the band went off to get water or something. I saw the very first show in Sunrise, then again 4 days later, and by that time, it was out of the set. Glen said it was because of time constraints. Sad, really. It was the only number that got a unanimous standing O. They loved it.

I dont remember a shortened Babe version during the Edge tour.

What I do remember is that during their Paradise Theatre Tour at the old Met Sports Center in Bloomington, MN ( home of the Minnesota North Stars) on night one they played Babe & not Lady, then on night #2 they played Lady and not Babe. I want to say they played 3 sold out concerts. I saw the first two shows, and they were the same except for that. What an AWESOME concert!!
