Was "Fooling yourself" a hit in australia?

Postby BRETT5150 » Sat Aug 07, 2010 3:05 pm

I was stunned when I heard "Fooling yourself" on Brisbane radio here last week in australia. Can anyone tell me if this was a hit in australia? It might of just been a random favorite too. who knows?

What ever happened to Styx touring Australia, Egypt, Hong Kong, etc?

I recall reading about their excitement that they could do that with DDY gone.

They went to Japan once, the UK, and parts of Europe (Germany, Switzerland). You have to realize the cost of bringing a band outside the USA is a fairly expensive proposition. So it may have ZERO to do with Styx, but everything to do with the economics of the situation.

Plus, North America is their natural and biggest market.

So I guess that puts a monkey wrench in Styx's plan to "Rock The World" now that DDY is out. I'm sure in some way it's all DDY's fualt. :D

Styx will never go to Austrailia as long as the Little River Band is courting Tommy Shaw.

We all know that the Little River Band recently signed Dee Snider to be their new lead singer. It is still rumored that they want a second lead singer in Tommy Shaw.

As long as the Little River Band stays popular, and Outback Steak House keeps backing their tours Styx will never go near that country.

Bowling For Soup has inked Tommy. His rendition of their hit '1985' is now a classic. Still that contract may not be iron clad. If LRB starts waving all their vast resources Tommy may jump both ships (Styx & Bowling For Soup).

And the Styx saga continues..............................................
