Very sad news. I met Chuck in July at the Arlington Heights Fest.
He was very positive and said he would never give up the fight,

Sad news indeed.

I am very, very sorry to hear of this. I never did get to interview Chuck formally, but I spoke with him at length several times on the phone over the years that I was researching my Styx book. He was a really interesting person in his own right. It ended up we talked some about Styx and Dennis, and then would wander off and talk about things unrelated to any of that. Just a fascinating guy who had lived several slices of life. He was a good guy, and had obviously been through a lot. I knew his health had been an issue for many years, but I didn't know about this latest round of health issues.

My condolences to his friends and family.

What this article doesn't mention is that Chuck L, was also Chuck Panozzo's first cousin.
