Looks like Neil is nominated for the Hall of Shame finally. His new album 'Dreams' comes out Nov. 2nd. It is an album of covers, and it sounds very good, he has picked out some interesting covers. You can listen to a few songs from the album on his website. www.neildiamond.com

Neil has had some good cover albums over the years, so it really isn't new for him. I love the 'Rainbow' album and the "And Singer Sings His Songs" albums from the 70's both were cover albums.

Well, that is nice Neil may be getting his due. He was always treated pretty well by Rolling Stone, so, there you go.

My guess is that Rush may get a nod in the next few years.

Journey, I doubt.

Styx, never, never, ever, ever.

Rush, along with Pat Benatar were both brought up this year. That's half the battle.
Foreigner has been mentioned as a candidate to represent the whole AOR genre. To my knowledge, Styx, Journey (WHO HAD MEGA EXPOSURE THIS YEAR WITH DSB) and REO have never had their names mentioned at the main table, even in their first year of eligibility when they were included in the info packet.
Def Leppard was up against Bon Jovi this year, so they might get some play later down the road.

Look for Deep purple in the next two years also.
