Did anyone attend Styx's first Grand Illusion/Pieces of Eight concert last night?

If so what did you think? What other songs were added? Set List & order?, Attendance? Reviews?, Froy sightings?, Was Chuck there?..................................................................

Looked at the Styx news and nothing there,
Nothing here either, I guess nobody went.

Well this is all I could find from the show, and of course it is nothing new. (I figured I'd post it anyway.)

It seems Chuck was there, which is totally cool and should be the case!

AWESOME!! Queen of Spades sounds GREAT. It is NOT Dennis, but Gowan is GREAT also!! Sing For The Day sounds GREAT too!!!

I sure wish they would bring this tour near Shreveport, Dallas, Houston or Tyler. I could make any of thoses locations.

This is a GREAT tour for Styx fans.

from MetalSludge:

During "Superstars" they showed a bunch of old press clippings, and they conveniently used ones where Dennis must have been posing on the end and they just cut him out of all the shots. If you didn't know any better, you would think Styx was a four-piece band in the 70's and 80's with Shaw, Young, and the Panozzo brothers.

Classy.

Maybe they didn't want to hear the huge roar of positive approval from the audience when Dennis' picture showed up on the screen behind them.

They will continue to ape DDY's every piano/keyboard note and have the Munchkin-Voice attempt to "sing" his parts, but never, ever mention that he had anything to do with a single song they are performing.

And, again, this is their prerogative. It is their band now.

Catch 22 Bugsy - If Dennis's mug is plastered everywhere the DDY bathwater drinkers state they are using him and his photo's when he isnt even in the band.

They have handled it about as well as they can. They dont bring him up unless there is a question about him. They use his songs but have erased all else.

Short of bringing him back( which I want) how else would you handle it?

Thus my last sentence above. It is their band now.

Perhaps it's just as simple as not being allowed to use Dennis' likeness or name in any of their promotion and photos. There was a law suit afterall, so I see that scenario are far more likely and plausible.
