Have the current lineup of Styx, and Dennis and his band join forces for a 12 piece Styx rock orchestra? Make all 12 of them work together on an album, then promote the shit out of it and tour. This would be absolutely majestic. Could you imagine Tom Sharpe and Todd Sucherman on stage together? DDY and Lawrence and John doing keyboards? A four guitar attack from some incredible rock guitarists?

I have no desire to EVER see Gowan on the same stage with Dennis. And the chances of that happening are about the same as
the River Styx freezing over TWICE!!!

Really lame idea. Why would you want to have 3 guys pretending to be the original when you have the original ON STAGE with you?

The collective power would unparalleled. The songwriting abilities and mixtures would be groundbreaking.

What would be the point of of having Dennis and Gowan on stage together with Styx? Gowan has not contributed anything substantial to Styx.

More needs to be said about the Yes stuff. I just started getting into Yes this year. Did it work for Yes?

Actually, this would be worse because Dennis doesn't have anyone that was "BEFORE" him. Styx was HIS FRIGGIN BAND!!!

Don't know why people rag on Union - it's a good album...as in a collection of good songs...I'm happy to have that then another "Big Generator". Listen to it for yourself before you judge. It's more of a double album with the two versions of Yes from that time each contributing half.
Then listen to Steve Howe's instrumental "Turbulence" album....also pretty good if you like guitar instrumental album, and Steve Howe. And, get ABWH, the "other" version of Yes from that time.

And, IMO, a big reason why he will never be a part of it again is because he treated them as "his band" instead of acting like he was a part of the whole that was Styx. And, the same could be said about Perry in Journey and ROR.

Even if that was the case I'm sure they had no problem cashing the checks from the success that Dennis' so called "control" of "all things Styx" brought them. No matter what did or did not happen, they made their choices and have to live with it. If that is the "true full picture" of the way things were then it seems to me they choose to deal with with it in exchange for the money it made them.

You make it sound like a negative thing. I don't think they have a problem 'living with it'. It seems they make a pretty good living out of it, in fact.
It's people like you and froy who whine like a 12yr old girls at a Justin Bieber concert who are the ones who seem to not be able to live with it.

I just love how anyone that does not agree with your opinion is considered a whiner. Based on the comments of some band members it appears they do have issues with it even though it made them successful. So it seems to me that they chose to take the chance on what they didn't care for since it seemed to be making them money. There are always two sides to every story and I just don't believe things were exactly as some of the band members present it to be. After all, you are dealing with people that have egos and that tends to blur the story. Maybe you should not take someone's difference in opinion and resort to personal insults towards them. Seems to me you can't "deal with" someone not agreeing with you.

No, anyone who goes about acting like you and froyline do ARE whiners. You would fit right in with that old SNL skit with that family of whiners...but all you do is whine about Styx...whah, whah, whah. That's all you do is whine. You contribute nothing to this forum but a bunch of 12yr old girly tears. Get over it already.

I wouldn't consider my viewpoint or opinion on things as whining. Your replies just keep proving that you can't deal with someone with a different opinion then yours. Instead of just staying on the subject you turn the conversation into insults and name calling. Sorry but I won't stoop to that level. To make things clear, I am not a person who thinks or demands that Styx should invite Dennis back. If it happens, it happens. if it doesn't, it doesn't is the way I see it. It's not whining to just comment that I don't care for the current Styx line up or disagree with what some post on this board.

To be honest, I never felt the need to waste my time on researching a poster that considers their own opinion as fact. It's funny how they state "IMHO" and then have a fit when someone just doesn't agree with their "humble opinion". "Humble", MY ASS! The thing I keep forgetting is to just ignore the person all together.
