Dennis seems like the only one big enough to do this. It has been a long time since Brave New World & Behind The Music. You would think that common sense & forgiveness would set in by now.
Basically I am asking if Dennis wants back in and would ask Tommy to let him back in what would happen???? 1 Final album, 1 final tour, or impossible????????

I see the whole situation as purely hypothetical though because Dennis is really happy where he is, and has an absolute all-star band. Arguably better than JY/Tommy Styx.

That is HIGHLY debatable

Leahy and Zadra wipe the floor with Shaw/JY as far as raw playing ability goes.
Tom Sharpe is an outstanding, versatile drummer (listen to his "Like setting Myself on Fire" album)
Tom Sharpe is also arguably a better pianist than Dennis or Lawrence
Craig and Ricky are about on par with each other. But Craig has a much better high-range backing vocals voice
John Blasucci can play everything that Lawrence/Dennis can play, and has quite a resume working with big name artists (Celine Dion, NSync, etc))
Dennis's band

If you say so,it must be right.

I agree. Quit drinking the koolaid arch. While denny's band is awesome they don't hold a candle to styx.

I don't think Tommy is the problem....its the other dude....you know, the one that didn't write any hit records, but yet is in charge of everything?

And for the Styx vs. Dennis band argument, go see both bands and make up your own mind. But it's not necessary to slag one if you haven't spent the time to see both - a YouTube video is no point of reference.

The sad fact is that they can't put the petty issues behind them and do it for the love of the music and sharing that magic they had together. It's a shame that when you become as successful as Styx was egos and petty personal issues get in the way of the music.

Personally, I feel when dealing with people it's hard to say what will happen. People's minds do change for many reasons. So to say it will never happen I think is taking a "black and white" approach to the situation. I never thought they would regroup with the original line up after '84 and then the '96 reunion happened. I think it's safe to say that most Styx fans never saw that coming. Only those directly involved really know what is possible.
