Journey tour announced today. Looks huge! Playing the big outdoor sheds that Styx was playing in 1996/97 with Dennis. Special guest Foreigner. Once again, a big leg up on whatever Styx will be doing this summer.

Big deal. I wouldn't pay to see them. Foreigner is a joke as well without Lou Gramm just like Journey is with their youtube singer.

You know I would have agreed with you about Foreigner...until I saw their "Rockin' at the Ryman" concert on HDNet. That new singer brings it!!!! Dude is great. I was so impressed I bought tix for an accoustic show here in April. I think there are clips from the Ryman show on youtube. You should check them out. You're right about Journey though.

It's still a three bill act. Yes, they may be playing larger places, but don't confuse the fact it's taking three bands - not one - to potentially fill 'em. Journey has played sheds with other acts (such as Def Leppard) for awhile. They've managed to maintain a bit of status quo is all.

I'm not really trying to dog either band, it was more in response to an obvious dig toward Styx.

True...but Journey still outsells Styx. If Styx were on this tour, they would be in Foreigner's opening spot...or an add-on like Night Ranger. Journey on their own would probably sell at least twice as many tickets as Styx on their own. And, you have to be pretty naive to not admit Journey has an increased popularity compared to when they toured with (opened for) Def Leppard during Augeri's last year, and Soto's fill in time.

Still doesn't matter to me. I'd rather see Styx right now then Journey....just my opinion.

Lou had the chance to put Mick's cover band to shame with his solo release. Some decent tunes, but nothing on the new Foreigner.

Who shoved a pole up your ass? Sheesh.

Here in the USA most dates are Journey, Foreigner, and Night Ranger. (If you need proof, http://nightranger.com/news/journey-for ... -announced)

So unless my math is wrong, that's three bands. Maybe you need some basic math lessons in addition to reading comprehension skills.

No Lou Gram, no Steve Perry, no interest.
I would go see Night Ranger if they were headlining. Their last album "Hole in the Sun" was very good. And they still have both of their real singers.

sorry for the typo. I know Lou spells his name Gramm.

I guess I'll never understand how two out of three bands w/new lead singers
can be considered cover bands and not the third?!? :? :?: :?:

Journey Foreigner ...not Styx?!?
For those who feel that way ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Are you kidding Styx is the worst of the 3. Thanks to Gowan
My feeling is the end is near for the STYX game. Not sure if you saw the Roboto picture from Bruscos office,
That's the one cd they always made fun of and now they are putting it out there.
No tour this year and about 10 bogus dates on there website, Game Over STYX?

You have feeling that way for 10yrs....I think you should consider other options then blaming your sickness on Styx.

Or, Schon will not tour with them since many peolpe felt Styx out performed Journey on the Main Event tour.

Easy to believe since Augeri "didn't bring it".

I saw that tour twice...In Dallas the newspaper said REO out performed both Journey and Styx. I kinda agree on that one.

Froy,

Styx would never have joined this bill. They toured with Foreigner last year. Fans won't go to see the same exact bill 2 years in a row.

Styx will be touring this summer with Yes. They're waiting for the Yes run of dates to be over with or close to over with before they announce.
