This ought to be well worth seeing. If you have not seen Tommy in this kind of acoustic setting, you haven't really seen him, in my opinion.

Some of it is a bit more sophisticated in its sound and chords, but the majority is three-chord stuff that is pretty easy to play and sang...uh...sing.

UHHHHHH NO.

Bluegrass when played well is far from some three cord exercise in simplicity. And although some of the vocals can be a bit "scratchy" the harmonies are often incredible.

Bluegrass may not be your up of tea but don't downgrade it or it's players as some bunch of hillbillies with no talent.

mr. v I was mostly responding to Yogi in jest. I know from Bluegrass because I have played with bluegrass players. A lot of it has simple chords, but there is very much sophistication in playing and, definitely, in the harmonies.

I am a fan of this style of country music myself.

Froy, didn't you know? Tommy limits his bathing routine so it makes that bathwater he sells to his die hard fans more expensive and collectible.

I just bought tickets for the 7pm show. Yeah not the best seats, but this should be cool.

That's funny, my girlfriend bought us tickets for that night without knowing who would be performing! I've lived in Nashville for a few years but never been to the Opry so this should be a memorable first.

My wife worked for the Opry... and has arranged backstage for us before the show goes on. I love that girl!

Yonder Mountain String Band has quite a following. Met them in an Applebee's once. Nice guys.
