This is why it just doesn't work without Tommy, even though Dennis is awesome...
IMO this isn't even close to phenomenal, sry...

Dennis and August are a much better combination that Lawrence and Tommy. Although Lawrence and August are both replacements, August sounds more like Tommy than Lawrence does like Dennis.

Agreed, but I still like the Tommy/Lawrence combination better. Lawrence is fun, he brings a great voice and I love listening to "A criminal mind"

Yes,you missed about 7000 posts of drivel from froy.
Try and go back and see some old posts and it's same-o-same-o.

That was one pathetic keyboard slap. Be a solo artist, not a Styx clone band.

Boomchild wrote:masque wrote:so when did ted danson start jamming with august zadra??????????
It was after Styx replaced their front man with Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks.

I was thinking the same thing. I felt like "what the heck are doing?". Not one of Dennis brighter moments.

And yet it was still the best part of the whole song.

Dennis has always been an inventive and excellent improvisational keyboardist. I loved his take at the beginning of a song I really don't like much otherwise. Sorry for those too mundane in their thinking to appreciate this, but I am sure there is a version of Gowan playing chopsticks out there you might like.

Steady does it Bugsy, steady does it.
Dennis is an excellent keyboarder, that's why I think it could have been so much better.
There is indeed a chopstix version by Gowan.
It was done at the Benihana restaurant in Little Rock Arkansas.
His kit was made out of upside down saki cups.
Needless to say Gow was strung out on saki, but it was an excellent performance nevertheless.
The greatmundane.
