yeah, I hate to enourage that. I certainly hope those that've downloaded it will buy it. Journey's gotta be pissed that someone's already ripped it.

Any album I may download before it's released (even though I pay a bit for that too), I'll always go out and buy on CD. I am not intersted in owning music just digitally. I want to have it in my hands!

Come on, Styx. What's the point of that "bigger engine" if you don't use it?

Keep dreaming. Latest comment from TS about an album of new material is "everyone wants the classics". Good luck on that.

Denial. Apparently he believes we (as the fans he's supposedly referring to) want re-records on their biggest hits including songs they shouldn't be redoing, another Shaw/Blades 70's tribute album and maybe more bluegrass. Now I may like the Shaw/Blades stuff and would be interested to buy a follow up to Influence, but c'mon... are they that uninspired that they can't write 10 f*****g songs and release them. Then they'd have a decent reason to tour. Night Ranger can do it, and are doing it. A band that was less successful. I'm at a loss.

I think it's as simple as they just aren't interested in doing it. It seems Tommy is interested in exploring different genres. Nothing wrong with that. The reality is they don't have to release new material to have a successful tour. Their going to work it from the angle that puts the most money in their pockets. An album of new material isn't going to do that. The band is just an ATM machine now.

The least they could do was include two new songs on each of these regurgitation cd's.

But a complete album would be the best avenue.

We got new material from Styx a few years ago. It was called "100 Years From Now" and it was pretty damn good! :)

eh, not really. The Regeneration albums are the first "new" Styx product that I haven't purchased since 1977. Got the free song and listened to the rest on Youtube. I have the same versions of those other songs on live albums. I have the original versions on the original albums. For me "Cyclorama" was a great record and I wanted to hear more. Was pretty psyched about the direction. That was 8 years ago. Styx has now apparently become "Boston". I did like the two new songs on the CYO album, but the one from Regeneration was just okay. Still, it was new music and it was nice to hear.

Twelve solid new tracks like Eclipse?
