So, Dennis plays Babe for Tommy and JY and they agree\suggest that it should go on a Styx album. Then later on after it becomes their best selling single (their only song to reach #1 on Billborad's chart) Tommy and JY state that Babe is not a song the represents what Styx is. Hmm..... interesting.

There was another video made of this, with Dennis is his Cubs (I think) jersey. Bits and pieces of it have shown up on various shows, mostly MTV and/or VH1. It really is a better video than this one, but I guess it was not "official."
I have always felt about "Babe" that it is a fine song. Not overly treacly or sung in an exaggerated manner by Dennis at all, which was a plus for it. What always ruined it for me was his not playing it on piano (which is a WAY better sound for it), but on that syrupy sounding Rhodes, or whatever it was. It turned a really great power ballad into an overly cloying ballad.
He has said he was going to originally play it on piano, but it was out of tune and he went to the electric piano instead. Wishing the piano had been in tune!!
