#17 Best Styx Video

Postby Toph » Fri Jun 10, 2011 12:14 pm

This used to be out there but I can't find it so you'll just have to use your imagination....

They did a Foolin Yourself video that was clearly filmed the same time as Come Sail Away...

Typical concert video, edited song (loses points), and a bit too 70s looking, but a great song and I like that it captures them in their youngish days with the hair and bell bottoms. Arguably the "coolest" that DDY has looked.

I have this, in not-so-great quality, along with "Miss America", done at the same time with the "Come Sail Away" video. All lip-synched, of course, but still, as you say, fun to watch and see them in their long-haired, bell-bottomed days.

Bugsy
Change your hairdo. Change your name.
Congratulations! You're still the same.

all three of those are good videos. I have them somewhere too. The version I have was from the Midnight Special reruns. Don Kirshner introduces them by saying "Modeling themselves after the "supergroup" KANSAS, here's Styx". Um, right Don...

Didn't Kirshner manage Kansas at one time? I find that funny. The same guy that managed The Archies and the Monkees managed Kansas.
