Just like the rest of us keep going to work everyday. What's wrong with them doing their job and getting paid to do it?

They need to work on new music. Everyone else is these days. Journey did it, Night Ranger did it and so on. Being a novelty band singing the same songs gets old. Especially with one major member missing.

"If", this is "The Best Version Of Styx Ever" as JY wants you to believe, then surely they could write songs that would blow away anything they have done in the past. Right? Come on JY what are you waiting for?

Great show tonight!! They had to shut the gates around 7 because it was full. They claim there were 60,000 people there which is what they can hold at this fest. They expanded it last year to double the size. This is the biggest crowd I ever saw at a Styx show.

It was nice to hear Castle Walls, I'm Okay, and Man in the Wilderness! The band sounded great!

Funny thing all of those people were there for the RIBS, Good fake job again You could have had Carrot Top on stage and 60 thousand people would have still been there,
I will bet your numbers are off but who cares It was a rib-fest and that's what the people came for,

Was this a free show or did people have to pay specifically to get into watch the show? If it was free you usually will have people show up droves as opposed to when they have to pay.

FREE all the way Otherwise Chicago Styx would have been back in Glenwood

It is the nature of these big festivals to draw huge crowds, especially if the weather is nice. Dennis has benefited the same way. Concerts with far more obscure performers than either Styx or Dennis, can draw massive crowds because that is what the folks are there for -- food, beer and entertainment.

I think a name act can be a draw for many to such events, but for everyone who attends? No.

I am sure a good time was had by all.

I'm sure you're right. Not everyone was there just because of Styx.

The weather was great but I walked over to the other main stage and there was a small crowd to see Kenny Wayne Shepard. It would have been so much easier to get food and beer on the other side.
