Oh yeah I'll take it!

So I was on facebook and saw that Tom Sharpe (Dennis's drummer)had updated his status "Buffalo, NY" I quickly went to Dennis's site and saw that he was performing in Lockport which is about two hours away from me in about two hours! We made it with some time to spare and it was a splendid occasion. Got spend time with some wonderful people as well.

Great show. I'll talk more about it tomorrow.

Pretty standard Dennis set (in order)

The Grand Illusion
Lady
Lorelei
Blue Collar Man
Show Me The Way
Mr. Roboto
Desert Moon
Too Much Time On My Hands
Rockin' The Paradise
Babe
Fooling Yourself
Suite Madame Blue
Best Of Times/The End
---------------------------------
Renegade
Come Sail Away

No, I did not forget "Don't Let It End." They didn't play it, which surprised me. The band gets better every time I see them and they're definitely professional Styx men. Dennis's vocals and keyboard playing were perfect as always. August sounded great too; he does Tommy's songs so incredibly well. Lots of extended guitar solos during Desert Moon and Rockin' The Paradise which I thought was really cool; I'm also still amazed by what Jimmy has done with the Suite Madame Blue solo. Tom has added a lot of interesting intricacies to his drumming which adds a very elegant touch to the music. John and Craig are masters at what they do as per the usual. The crowd was your typical crowd to expect at a free concert, and one couple in front of us seemed to be getting an early start on their bedroom festivities which I thought was hilarious. I started to walk up to them and mock them but the most beautiful girl in the world scolded me so I relented. Love these surprise concerts I've been having this year. I had no idea that this would be taking place until almost 7:00 last night. I made a facebook status update about the great night and August liked it!

It's always good to check his website from time to time  That's the same setlist he played in oshkosh a few weeks ago + don't let it end. IMO he should take out desert moon and let jimmy sing snowblind or half penny two penny.

I second that. Desert Moon should always be there. It was as big a hit as many Styx songs. People know it.
