I feel this is a very good observation about the band. To me that is why Styx will always be a shadow of itself without Dennis involved.

Good find, CM! I agree with this writer's summation of all of these albums and the larger observation about the dynamics that made up this band. Some really good observations here.

I always wondered why they chose to change the album artwork as well as the titles of the albums. Maybe it was to trick people into thinking these were new albums from Styx. Whatever the reason that art deco on the reissues has to be some of the worst album cover art I have ever seen.

When Out On a Day Pass was rereleased the new artwork had JY leaping in the air with his head launched back and his guitar out front. Even though JY was a black and white stick person you could tell it was JY because he was so tall and he had that shi tty 'JY' 'rock pose'.

Oh come on now! That "rock pose" is JY's trademark move! Where would he be without it! To be honest I think they all have done hokey poses.
