No flaming here, please. Dennis was on our local radio station here in Milwaukee for over an hour. It was a great interview and he was funny throughout the interview, like usual. He played "Lady", "Come Sail Away" and "The Best of Times" and portions of "Castle Walls" and "First Time" and told stories with each song. At the end, the radio station played "My God Can Beat Up Your God" which will be one of the three new songs on his double live cd. This is the first time I heard this song and it wasn't any kind of ballad or show tune. He will be interviewed and seen on 2 of our local tv stations and also will be visiting another radio station tomorrow morning.
Just thought I'd pass along this information

It's great to hear and see him!!
Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review from Dennis on WKLH this morning. I missed out on it, unfortunately. I am very excited to hear "My God Can Beat Up Your God" is going to be on his new cd. He debuted that at one of his Chicago shows a while back and I fell in love with it instantly. Is there any chance you taped the show the morning? I would love to get a copy of it if you have or if anybody else did. Thanks again!

You should be receiving your cd soon.
Yes, I taped most of the WKLH interview, I forgot to turn the tape, oops

I should be getting a complete copy soon.
He will be visiting WKTI, 94.5 at 6:30am.
Then at 8:00am he will be on tv - WITI Fox 6 Milwaukee
And I think he'll be at WLTQ, 97.3 in the afternoon
I just saw his Soundstage performance, thanks to one of my best friends. It was wonderful!! He was so funny during the Pledge Drive too. His Soundstage should be airing in a copy more cities November & December. I'm looking forward to the DVD.

So are the Soundstage CD's going to be available at record stores, amazon. com etc ? If the answer is yes, then I would assume Dennis has a record deal, who has he signed with?

Just to clarify, the cd is not of Soundstage. It is from a concert he did in Chicago this year and includes 3 new songs. He will be selling the Soundstage dvd as well. I do not believe the dvd will be in stores, just at his concerts and via his website. The cd's are supposed to be in stores, however I believe they are independent of any record label.

Dennis mentioned on tv/radio this morning that he will be touring. He didn't specify which cities but there will be quite a few. He also showed his new cd. One of the radio stations played a new song called "Hello God". Great song. It's great to hear his new music being played back to back each day.

((I believe they are independent of any record label.))
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure there are record labels out there who are standing in line to work with Mr. DeYoung. I hear he is a real joy to work with. Maybe he just wants to sell them on ebay.

Hey there are record labels who do business with Barbra Striesand, Madonna, Axel Rose, Boston (yep they have a new one out this decade), Rappers who shoot one another in the studio, Don Henley, David Crosby, Steven Stills, Jackson Browne, Diana Ross, Britney Spears, etc....they are all lovely people to work with as well....and by the way not all of these people are selling records in the millions....

Sadie65 wrote earlier on this thread that she thought the release date for the new DDY CD was around November 1st......wondering if, since that date happens to be this coming Saturday, has anyone heard anything further ?
