Well since we haven't heard Dennis sing it, its kind of stupid to make a blanket statement like that.

This is just crap. DDY has the totally wrong voice for the song. He is way too over the top for the song. It's no different then Tommy's version of "Open Arms'. It's just horrible. fantastic? What a bunch of crap.

JY's version of Lorelei is so awful that I forgot about it. I wish that you hadn't reminded me, but yeah, THAT is the definition of not being able to sink and deeper; JY doing Lorelei.

This is too funny. When people comment about Styx performing Dennis' Styx material people are quick to use the argument that those were songs written by "the group". Then when Dennis does the same type of thing the same people state it's wrong because he didn't write it.

Personally, I prefer Tommy on lead vocal with Dennis doing the harmony. I do understand why he picked this song being that this was a popular song in the EU.

You have to keep in mind that the Tommy/JY nutlickers seem to reside in the shallow end of the gene pool. They will never be able to grasp the logic that you've presented.

Actually,I just wrote it to see what the response would be.
I don't really care about who plays what, where and when.

I believe the promoters asked him to play it. Plus, he was in Europe and that was arguably the biggest Styx song there.

Much like Gowan sang "Babe" in Japan. Sometimes you just do things like this. It's business.

Step down from the ledge folks and take care of your twisted panties. It's just music.

This explains EVERYTHING that's gone on with the whole Styx/Dennis quarrel.
It's business. The band wanted to tour more than Dennis to make more dough. It's business.
Dennis wanted to spend time developing his musicals. It's business.
They parted ways because... it's business.

Way to oversimplify and take one situation out of context, but I'm not responding any more about this stuff. I've said my peace over the years. Styx is not what it was for more than business reasons.

If I were Lawrence, I would have spent a lot of my own personal wealth to ensure that all existing footage of that was eradicated. Using "Best of Times" and "Rockin' The Paradise" as my guide, I'll say that his rendition of "Babe" was pretty bad.

Unfortunately for him, it was caught on a bootleg.
