I'm glad the Born For Adventure was in the set again. Now he just needs to add Queen Of Spades

The type of tunes that should be in a Styx show.

All 8 Top 10s, plus top 10 Desert Moon. Every song on GH1 except for Miss America and Crystal Ball (no big losses) and one deep track (BFA).

Agree totally. Love Pieces of Eight, and Goodbye is one of the few decent songs off BNW.

I was never a fan of "Don't Let it End", but that acoustic version has changed the song completely for me. Quite nice. Wonderful arrangement.

It definitely puts a different spin on the song. I like it. Wish they would record this version.

wish either camp would drop in a Wooden Nickel tune. It'd be cool to hear Dennis do "Father OSA". It'd be cool to hear Young do "Witch Wolf" or "You Need Love".

Doubt you'll ever see Dennis take interest in the WN catalog besides Lady. I think he has made it clear he is not very found of most of the material from that era.

I know, but some of it is really good stuff. Some of it is pretty bad too, but not all of it.

commenting on a couple of things;

1) i also woudl love to hear pieces of eight and goodbye roseland.......goodbye roseland may be one of the best tunes dennis has ever written.

2) i totally agree that it would be super cool to see a few wooden nickel songs make it back other than lady in to the sets.....i woudl love ot hear man of miracles or just about anything off of serpent is rising.

I agree. I don't know what Dennis' issues are other then he felt that people didn't enjoy his writing\singing style and was trying to write\sing like someone else. I remember when I first got the WN albums. I found myself playing those more then what was their current stuff at the time.

He played "Pieces of Eight" in concert for 2 years. And I thought he played "Goodbye Roseland" at one of his Chicago concerts, I think.

As for the Wooden Nickel years, DDY has performed: "Best Thing" and "Unfinished Song" live.

You never know, he could have a few more "Lost Treasures" shows and include a couple more WN songs for those.
