In the Studio with Redbeard, P.T. 30 year anniversary

I just listened to this and it says it was taped in January of last year, 2011. Dennis and JY are talking to each other and sound like they are in the same room as each other in the first few segments. I don't think this is possible. Has anyone else heard this? Did JY and Dennis really do this recently???
Or was the segment with JY and Dennis taped years earlier?

That show is from the EOTC era, and JY and Dennis were together. Tommy was taped separately or not involved, I can't remember. The newly-edited version of that show also has newer footage with JY, Tommy and Gowan. But not Dennis . . . you know, the guy who originated that concept, LOL.

Yes, that's what I figured. Dennis and JY were getting along too well for it to be current. Oh well. I can dream, can't I???!!

Thanks Sterling!

Wait a minute Sterling. Are you sure about this Dennis person? I am sure it was Lawrence Gowan that was the brainchild of PT. In fact, he's pictured on the PT concert t-shirt I just got. This Dennis person wasn't on there. Maybe this Dennis guy was just the sound engineer that twiddled the knobs during the recording sessions. 8)

It's a great show. Just listened to it, again, online. Ahhh, the good old days. It really was just a wonderful album.

Also, it's interesting that even in 1990, JY clearly disliked KWH (or at least the live show of that album). It comes up right after they are discussing "Snowblind" and censorship. DDY doesn't seem too enamored with it, either. I guess that plays into the whole discussion recently in the Joe Elliot and Roboto thread. The interview also proves that DDY can give a great interview when he wants to. His responses were intelligent, thoughtful and thought provoking. He seldom lapses into his schtick persona.

Makes me miss the original band all the more, when listening to stuff like this.

the first time i heard this i actually emailed redbeard to find out when it was recorded and as sterling mentioned it was around the EOTC timeframe and tommy's stuff was recorded at a different time based on what the beard told me.
