why the current version of STYX is still awesome

Postby masque » Sat May 05, 2012 4:38 am

#1 because tommy and jy are involved.

#2 because todd is one of the best drummers I've ever heard or seen

#3 gowan is one of the best replacement people I have ever seen enter a famous band

#4 they care about putting on a great show and making sure people get their money's worth

#5 now that they are willing to rock more and do fewer ballads they have created a super up tempo high energy show.

#6 Never having to hear Roboto ever again

#7 Ditto Babe

#8 Their care and compassion of Chuck

#9 The obvious fun they have, which makes the show fun for fans
Sometimes it makes no sense at all.

#10.They are not afraid to tour anywhere any time.
This will give anybody as a fan of Styx music to get that live Styx show.
If you can't make that December show, they will be happy to tour your town again in 6 or 8 months.
As a fan you won't lose out and you don't have to spend your hard earned dollars travelling to a far away city to see them.
They are there for you.
Jesus loves you ,but everybody else thinks you're a knob.

12. Instead of having to navigate through a parking lot of 7,000 cars after the show (like the 97 and 98 tours). You only have to deal with 2,000.

Hey! Miss Piggy is popular again! :D

As to "Renegade." Daughtry is a poser. Poor imitator of other singers, IMO. Tommy may be a wimpy little guy, but he is the real deal on everything he sings.

I love Tommy Shaw... and I still think this is BS.

I'd argue Glen Burtnick is a better song writer.
